  3. Nothin cos we really haven't had to this season much. I'm all for bringin the Rally McFlurry back.
  4. Good, inning ova. Let's start the Rally now.
  5. Let's just hope we can get out of this inning without any more damage done.
  6. I think Collins would be a betta option, but he wants to start.
  7. Twice I hav flown to Asia and both times we hav had pretty bad turbulence when crossing the equator I think, but u get used to it. Trying to hold a drink with one hand with turbulence howeva, is a completely different story.
  8. To make room for Dan Wright, Reyes Article
  9. The Pirates would still rather trade Benson, but at next year's deadline they'll prob deal Wells I think.
  10. He'll be gettin $10 million in arbitration in 2 years according to Gammons. Think of the Kevin Millwood situation.
  11. We could always hav sum1 worse than Billy Koch. How about Matt Mantei?
  12. Here's what Peter Gammons though, although no - one will care bout his views , Ozzie Guillen has made a HUGE difference. They probably should have won last year. They need another left-handed hitter, another starter and they need to straighten the bullpen, but they are a very good team. The problem is, the Twins are also very good.
  13. Too bad for Steinbrenner isn't it.
  14. Uribe will cool off when pitchers give him more breaking balls instead of the heater. Still he deserves to be playin, and why not go with the hot man.

    Bird learns to sew

CUSTOMERS at a tailors in west England have been left in stitches after Baggio, the owner's pet cockatiel, showed he has picked up the knack of sewing by watching his master. "I have never heard of a bird that can stitch but Baggio has a great sewing action," said Jack Territo, 60, from Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, the proud owner of nine-year-old bird. Baggio, who can now pick up a pin and thread it through the material with his beak, will test his skills against other brainy pets on a television talent show next week. Territo is confident. "When people see what he can do, I think he will be top billing. I think he must be one of the cleverest pets," he said. "Other animals can do tricks but this bird can sew. There is no competition."
  17. We've got 5 picks in the first 65 in this year's draft I believe. We can restock our farm system on pitching, and if we can get a slugger like Giles, why not go for it?
  18. I know we missed out on Brian Giles once, why don't we go for him again? He's havin major power problems at PETCO Park now, and it's goin to be very hard for him to hit homers over that right field wall as a LH bat. If we offer a package of Konerko or Carlos Lee along with 2 pitching prospects say Diaz and Munoz, would you go for that deal?
  19. Cory Lidle is not a quality starting pitcher, othawise Toronto would hav kept him. Ben Sheets I would luv to hav, he's throwin 99 MPH on his fastball now, but Doug Melvin wants 3 quality prospects / players for him. Call me crazy, but if Oakland don't hit well enough to be in the race by July, there's been rumors they may deal Tim Hudson for a slugger. Tom Glavine from the Mets and Zach Day from the Expos could also be possible options.
  20. MORE workers would rather give up their morning coffee than their internet access, but employers should probably question why they love it so much. A survey, conducted for management software firm Websense, found more than half of web-connected employees used the internet for personal reasons, with men the more frequent users. The Web@Work 2004 study polled 500 employees and 350 information technology managers on internet and computer use in the workplace. The survey found 49 per cent would rather abandon their morning caffeine fix if they had to choose between it and internet access, although 46 per cent were more attached to their coffee habit. Fifty-one per cent of employees admitted to using their internet access for personal reasons for up to five hours per week, with two hours the average.
  21. PARTYGOERS wanting a glimpse of nude sunbathers at the only nude beach in Texas rushed to one side of a barge, prompting it capsize and dump all 60 people into Lake Travis. Two people were hospitalised with minor injuries yesterday after the rented double-decker barge sank near Hippie Hollow, a lakeside park and the only public nude beach in Texas. The accident occurred during Splash Day, a semiannual event hosted at the clothing-optional area by the Austin Tavern Guild, a gay and lesbian association. Witnesses said that all of the people aboard the barge moved to one side as it neared Hippie Hollow, making it tilt. Krista Umscheid, a spokeswoman for the Lower Colorado River Authority, said that although everyone aboard was accounted for, Travis County sheriff's divers were checking compartments of the sunken pontoon boat as a precaution.
  22. JAPANESE carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) has apologised following the revelation that the captain of one its jets dozed off at the controls during a domestic flight in March. The 50-year-old Japanese captain, whose name has been withheld, fell asleep while piloting the Boeing 767-300 jumbo jet with 184 passengers and crew on board on March 23. His nap did not affect the flight from Tokyo's Haneda airport to Yamaguchi-Ube airport, some 800km west of the capital, as the aircraft's controls were switched to auto-pilot, said a spokesman for the nation's second largest airline. The veteran captain, who has logged 12,700 hours of flying time, started snoozing some 20 minutes after take-off when the airplane had levelled off and was on auto-pilot, the spokesman said. He was woken up by the co-pilot but fell asleep again before landing at Yamaguchi-Ube. His snooze was discovered as a transport ministry examiner, who happened to enter the cockpit to check the operating procedures, found the captain dozing off and reported the case to the ministry. "We deeply apologise for the case," the ANA spokesman said. "We let all of our flight crew employees take thorough measures to maintain safe navigation and take care of their health," he said. On the day he fell asleep at the controls, the captain had woken up at 5:00 am after sleeping for some seven hours, the spokesman said, adding that there had been no problem with his condition before the flight. The captain is currently undergoing medical tests to see if he is suffering from sleep apnea syndrome, which can cause those affected to suddenly fall asleep in the daytime. The driver of a Shinkansen bullet train with 800 passengers on board which ran for 26km at 270km/h as he slept soundly at the controls in February last year was found to be suffering from sleep apnea.
  23. Is it just me or does any1 else want to see Jose spend at least another week in Charlotte to find his groove. Real good to hear bout Brian Anderson, he's got the best power potential out of our outfield prospects. Kohlmeier got the start and suffered, Grilli got hit hard yesterday as well I think.
  24. More of a pornography fan then.
