There we go AV!!!
-
Vaughn-Abreu-Eloy should be able to feast on Minor 3rd time through. Take advantage before he gets pulled.
-
Two consecutive hard hit balls. Maybe we're finally seeing some signs of life here from the offense
-
Maybe don't groove pitches right over the middle to Soler in the 3rd AB huh

There’s not really much more out there outside of theoretically Bryant who has been god awful lately
He and/or Frazier would have been game changers

Thank goodness it's not Goodwin in CF
-
I very much want Eduardo Escobar, but it's disappointing that he or someone of his caliber seems like the biggest offensive upgrade we can realistically expected
-
If Salvy is getting the outside strike you know it's a wideeeeee zone

I wouldn't even say that, but he's getting good results.
He has been crushing the ball and if anything deserves better results than he's gotten.

You could say that about the entire lineup ATM.
Vaughn is the only hitter consistently taking good AB's right now.

it's shocking a guy throwing a ball isn't that great at fielding the ball?
Considering how athletic pitchers are, yes.

Leury has not been very good at second base lately either.
He plays a brutal 2B. No doubt.
-
It's shocking how for ~95% of pitchers, their athleticism doesn't translate to fielding their position and then you have someone like Keuchel who makes it look effortless.

Man, no idea what Zaleski is doing with those Charlotte arms.
Seems like the pitching development in the minors is quite poor still, honestly. I know we're excited about Pilkington but most of the arms in the minors have stagnated this season.
But at least Thompson had a nice start today

There have been catchers selected in the R5. Sox have selected a worse and less experienced catching prospect in Adrian Nieto. Kept him on the roster the whole season too. Bad teams can and should do these types of things.
Maybe it's semantics, because I do think there's a decent chance Perez gets claimed, but Nieto had a 130 wRC+ as a 23 year old in High A. There was some possibility he eventually developed into a good hitting catcher. With Perez the ceiling is he eventually becomes a glove first backup up, which is fine and still worth keeping on the 40 man.

Big win. Lynn and Hendriks were outstanding.

101 is the hardest pitch from any Sox pitcher this season. The relievers have the velocity belt lead.
Good lord Liam Hendriks is filthy.
-
If Moncada was first in the AL in OBP instead of merely 2nd, perhaps then he would be appreciated more

The pixie dust is wearing off on Goodwin at a good time, at least.

Vaughn is just hitting laser after laser. He's taking the best AB's in the team right now by a mile.
-
None of the decisions leading up to using Hendriks made any sense, but using him for 6 outs is fine. He's fresh and we've seen he can handle pitching twice on the same day, larger pitch counts than a typical reliever, etc.

I miss the juiced ball

Sure would be nice if the Sox could turn a random Indy league reliever into a bullpen ace like the Brewers did with this guy

James Fegan is going to explain the double switch rule to Tony after the game on zoom

Please at least get to Moncada before KC has a chance to pull Minor
