Sox holding talks "daily" on Q
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 10:25 PM) No. I'm banking on there being teams in the pennant race in July. It doesn't have to be the Pirates and Astros. I predict that by July there will be teams in a pennant race, some of whom will need pitching. Honestly, I would be surprised if both of those teams are in the race given the setup of their rotations - one of them is going to have enough bad luck that they'll drop out like they did last year. But there will be a pennant chase, and due to the fact that there will be a pennant chase, there will be teams who decide they want to win that pennant. Prospects we aren't looking at right now will have good first halves and look better. If the Pirates and Astros think they're fine now, good luck to them. The market will exist in June. The problem is, you need teams to be and a pennant race and have pieces we might want. Also, in season your odds of getting MLB ready talent or close drops because teams are actively using them.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 09:29 PM) 2nd half started 2.5 hours after the scheduled kickoff time, ridiculous. It's completely unacceptable. And yet I have to watch. The CFPVoices feed is actually really funny because ever 15 minutes or so someone apologizes to the east coast.

Edit. beat me to it. Sounds like a family issue if he's returning to Chicago. That still doesn't explain why he NYK had no idea what was going on.

Then again, the Knicks and Hornacek appear to have opposite responses. The Knicks saying "we don't know" and Hornacek saying "It will be clear later" I think the Knicks know why he's not there.

I hope it's the first one, but the fact that his acquaintances don't know anything about his whereabouts is a little scary.

Sox holding talks "daily" on Q
QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 07:28 PM) They're honestly the exact opposite of each other. The Cubs had and still have an over abundance of positional talent and had to buy pitching. The Sox are acquiring an over abundance of pitching talent and will most likely need to buy positional talent. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. They are adding talented players and playing into their strength - developing pitching. Cubs did the same thing only reverse and played into what they felt they were better at. I would argue having a plethora of young pitching is a little lower risk. The problem with those high price pitchers in the NL is the bad money at the end of the big contracts. At least in the AL we can turn an aging position player into a DH.

Thought it was completely dead but was able to plug it into my computer and it sees the phone but won't recognize it without putting in the passcode, which I obviously cannot do. Any tips short of fixing the screen? Apple might be able to do it. Do you have iCloud backups set up on your phone?

Technology catch-all thread
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 9, 2017 -> 05:48 PM) Hilarious that I just hooked her up as source to "receiver input" 1-to-1 because that's how I've been doing it since I was 12. I was planning to do the same thing. Instead, all the HDMIs are plugged into the back of my TV with the cables all hidden in the wall. It looks okay, but behind the tv looks like death with 4 hdmi's. I guess in general I prefer no receiver, though.
