The good news is, we might actually be the most prepared in the minors with pitching. Our pitching prospects have looked pretty good so far. Unfortunately, that doesn't help this team.

If it's not mental, I want Coop coaching him. And the only person who is really going to tell if it is mental is Coop

Agreed. Rebuilds are trying times. Cubs fans didn't get it early on. You get it, I get it. Almost everyone here gets it. There are a handful of exceptions. It doesn't get any easier, but the "we should have gone for it every year" crowd is kind of obnoxious.

It is going to get worse before it gets better
Why does Greg refer to Greg in the third person?

The ability to like posts is the best part of this update. I'm being extremely generous with them.

Ah, to live in greg's head. you must think baseball players are dumb. We all know what this is. Rick Hahn makes it clear to the coaches and the players what this is. Jesus, greg! Do you honestly think the players are stupid?

You try doing your job after having watched your coworker have a massive brain bleed right in front of you. Oh wait. You can't.

While that's probably a lot of it, I'm not sure I could do my job very well having witnessed what they did in the dugout. Professional baseball players (like Professional Engineers or any other profession) are not accustomed to watching their coworkers go from all good and happy to fighting for their lives.

That's definitely a fair assessment.

No one is doing this anymore. 30+ year old free agents are having a hell of a time finding jobs. Your way doesn't work anymore.

As happy as a 2014 Astros fan. Greg, I'm just asking you to have a little foresight. You were the only one interested in winning 79 games with a team of 30+ year olds missing the playoffs.

I do love me a good greg take. It's like watching Undisputed for Sox fans without cable.

Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again
In fairness, we're playing the reigning champions. we have KC coming up, so expect a win or two.

You don't need it with this roster. The only chemistry you care about right now is the middle infield (both new guys). Pitching chemistry? Reylo is going to be fine.

4/21 Gamethread - Astros @ Sox - 6:10pm / WGN
Okay. Let's repeat this a few more times. There are two (2) or three (3) players on this team that will be on the "winning" White Sox. Chemistry between 20+ people you won't have soon and the three guys that matter is not that important. Did the Astros go too far with "this tank stuff"? What about the Cubs? The Braves? No. No they didn't.
