  1. You're both right. he has been one of the better starters in baseball but his unsustainable peripherals hurt his odds of staying there.
  2. Well, at least this will be a high scoring affair...
  3. I like this idea with Trayce. He's not the future, but he appears to be a much more serviceable player than whatever Engel is.
  4. Didn't greg say that Yoan would likely be in open rebellion?
  5. Attendance is a small piece of the pie and the reality is attendance in every market except two is directly correlated to winning. If the team isn't winning, attendance drops in almost every market. Attendance just isn't that important when the team is bad. If the Sox are good and attendance is still bad, that's a different discussion. Big picture, attendance matters more for the game as a whole but individual team attendance is far less important than viewership numbers.
  6. We were rebuilding last year and Avi was great.
  7. My biggest concern is the potential of blowing draft picks. If my life were dependent on this rebuild, drafting would be what keeps me up at night.
  8. That is so stinking funny. With a huge grin, too.
  9. Improving the short term team.
  10. Agreed on Thompson 100%. We all saw him as a utility outfielder when he was here last. It looks like he still could be.
  11. The pitching is really bad, but I can't imagine this team wins less than 60. "on pace" or not, the Sox will go on a run of some sort.
  12. This statement is completely missing the big picture. Until the MLB sets more regulations, it's in the best interest of teams that aren't going to win the World Series to tank. The Sox are doing the right thing.
  13. I'm going to be that guy: It doesn't matter. Sorry, it just doesn't.
  14. I love the new mobile interface. Nice job done by all. Definitely worth the wait.
  15. That might work I guess
  16. The only thing that stinks is there's no downvote so I can't downvote this post. I really like the new format.
  17. Meh. They'll be young and pretty fun to watch. May have some growing pains.
  18. Why? Does it matter on this team right now? Let him work out his problems in the majors or let him fail. it doesn't matter this year.
  19. The good news is, we might actually be the most prepared in the minors with pitching. Our pitching prospects have looked pretty good so far. Unfortunately, that doesn't help this team.
  20. If it's not mental, I want Coop coaching him. And the only person who is really going to tell if it is mental is Coop
  21. If likes were cars, I'd be Oprah Winfrey
  22. Agreed. Rebuilds are trying times. Cubs fans didn't get it early on. You get it, I get it. Almost everyone here gets it. There are a handful of exceptions. It doesn't get any easier, but the "we should have gone for it every year" crowd is kind of obnoxious.
  23. Agreed. I want him coached by Coop.
  24. Why does Greg refer to Greg in the third person?
