  1. We're DEEP in solid relief guys. All many of them need is a chance. Any resource spent on acquiring middle-tier relievers from outside the organization is a resource wasted.
  2. Well, congratulations to him for making it to The Show. Hope he runs with it and never looks back.
  3. So, Nestor Molina is having an extremely difficult season. Has anyone heard what the problems are? Is he a lost cause, or is the organization still optimistic about his future? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen...
  4. I'm curious about this guy's story. He's already 28, so he's paid his dues. That usually indicates one of two things: 1) no stuff, and/or 2) no control. However, if he has 99mph stuff with his K/BB ratio, what the hell took so long?
  5. Except Danks hasn't really been good for a long time. And by "good", I mean better than a fourth starter.
  6. Mostly because there's no one capable of replacing him.
  7. No offense to anyone, but I don't think he'll be up long. Do you see Robin tolerating wildness from any of his bullpen members for an extended period of time?
  8. His peripherals in AAA suggest he no longer has that kind of stuff.
  9. Septimo's stats suggest someone with control problems...
  10. That ball just flew off of Youk's bat. Even Hawk was surprised.
  11. Nice job Eduardo.
  12. If the Sox get a grade A prospect in return, then absolutely.
  13. Proof that you can never please everyone.
  14. Combined, Brent and ZS are making about 1 million this year. So really, the Sox are only adding 1 million in payroll.
  15. How did Axelrod look?
  16. I like your idea, man. I brought that up yesterday. Was pretty much harassed for it. He'd be an improvement over anything we have. How much of an improvement I'm not sure. But when your desperate, it might be worth a shot. Don't tell these guys about it, though. They don't seem to think that minor league numbers mean anything, or that people can improve over time.
  17. Track record of hitting? Jesus. How did you get to be a mod?
  18. Because it's primarily a pissing contest between 3 people?
  19. So, when is this thread going to be locked/deleted?
  20. Don't have the chips to get him.
  21. Those guys were all B level prospects coming up, except for Beckham.
  22. They may not know where Birmingham is, but they know a rudderless ship when they see it.
  23. KW has never really had stellar talent to deal. I'll let y'all draw your own conclusions on that.
  24. Sox fans are educated; you should give them a little more credit. They won't support a half-assed rebuild, no. But, if the team had a defined direction with a quality farm system to support it, I think you would be surprised at the attendance. Fans want to hope for the future. They will support something if they can envision a better future for the organization. Look at our minor league system now, and show me where the hope is.
