  1. Sparkman either wanted no part of Moncada or that was arguably the worst 4 pitch sequence I've seen all year. He wasn't within 4" of the zone with any of those pitches.
  2. Hawk thinks Greinke was a bad move because he hates Greinke because Hawk loves AJ and AJ hates Greinke

  4. Walker was 2-4 last night with a run
  5. You're back to being all over. You said to let it out play here but minutes before you made this comment, seemingly implying that he'll never be an ace or even a #2. "I can't say that he's anything more than a #3-4 that can pitch like an ace for stretches. He's probably always going to be inconsistent and maddening to people, because you see the ace in him but he can't keep his shit together long enough to actually pull it off."
  6. A 4.50 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP against the Royals isn't "good."
  7. Great start to the year, struggled lately. Is he an ace? Maybe he's a good #2 or even a #3?
  8. I kind of knew that was fake because I'm like 90% sure the Sox fly in and out of Midway
  9. Not being a smartass but I don't remember this at all. Granted I was on a plane quite literally taking off as I got the alert that SD signed Machado, but I don't remember Hahn and KW flat out saying that they anticipate being cash strapped in 8 years. The only thing I can think of is that they're thinking optimistically that Cease, Kopech, Giolito, Moncada, Robert and Jimenez are going to be the real deal and won't want to pay not-one-of-their-own (Machado) all that money when he's that old.

  11. Because guys who are already very rich are likely less willing to sign a team friendly deal. He isn't strapped for cash. He can wait for $300M if he chooses
  12. Yes, 3rd. Eloy 4th, Vaughn 5th
  13. I agree. Leave him down until 5/1/20. Blame it on wanting him to come up when it's not as cold. IDGAF. I want this guy for as long as possible.
  14. On base 3 of 5 times today, 1 single and 2 HBP's
  15. Except Robert has been absolutely crushing each level while Moncada truly never did. I think Robert's going to K a lot but I don't seem him having many "struggles" aside from that.
  16. On base 3 of 5 times again. The guy is a machine. A month ago I would've said that I'd rather see Madrigal hit 1 and Robert 2 for more run producing opportunity in the Sox lineup but now it might be switched. Let Robert get on and steal or have Madrigal work his magic to hit the ball all over the field
  17. It really had no bearing on yesterday's game besides Reed inexcusably losing the ball in the sun
  18. Robert flew out to CF in the 7th
  19. The Dodgers farmhand? I doubt they'd deal him for a reliever
  20. They were 9 over before this series started. They're a solid team with a good manager and a great front office
  21. They weren't hit hard but he just isn't missing enough bats. Those kind of bloop hits happen when your stuff isn't sharp
  22. @Richie We're doing this together buddy
  23. Benetti and Stone seem convinced he's safe but I'm not sure Chapman ever touched home
  24. It's too bad Cordell can't hit because he can field and he can run
