All New Soccer Thread ~ All Levels ~ All Leagues
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 03:04 AM) I watched most of that game, I'm surprised that stadium didn't collapse after that last goal. Sorry Borat. It was absolutely mental, man. I ended up about ten rows of seats over hugging and dancing with a pal. My voice is a bit gravely today. First goal was a beaut, and good timing just before half time. I had started to get a sinking feeling that it wasn't going to be our night, so that really lifted the spirits. Second goal - at the time I was afraid that Samaras was offside, so my celebration was a bit delayed. Third goal, injury time winner to seal our place in the group stages - bedlam!

QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 03:03 AM) Where's our boy? Celtic made the comeback. Their reward is getting trounced in the group stage (oh and millions of dollars). I was a happy man in Glasgow last night. Got back home at around 5am for a few hours sleep. Still smiling today, and it's my wedding anniversary an' all.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 20, 2013 -> 11:48 PM) I lost money on Celtic today. I hope nothing but the worst for them this season haha They only drew on Saturday. If you could rescind your vendetta for the return CL fixture this Wednesday, I'd really appreciate it.

Appalling result for Celtic in Kazakhstan in the Champions League play-off tonight. 2-0 loss, leaving us with a big mountain to climb for the return leg next week. Lacklustre performance, poor tactics, and no change directed from the touchline. It's going to be a long eight days.

Soxtalk General Culinary Thread
QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 12:27 AM) Try this one: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/09..._the_pot_roast/ Might improvise with that. That cut is considerably more marbled than the round roast, which is lean but very tough. I might have to look into the cooking times and temperatures a bit more so I don't end up with an ultra dry and tough roast.

If you don't get a little bit of dust in your eye at this story, there's something wrong with you: Very touching from everyone that played a part.

I've a nice round roast here for dinner tomorrow - just under a kilo. I usually just roast the fecker with a bit of salt and pepper, carrots and parsnips and whatnot. Any suggestions for some interesting alternatives would be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic day/night in Belfast yesterday as Celtic got their Champions League campaign underway. A handy enough 3-0 victory over Cliftonville. Grand result and a brilliant trip.

7/14 at Phillies
More extra innings against the Sox... an appalling indictment of the Phillies, if ever there was one!

5/7 The Devil Rays Game Thread
QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Damn son you didn't give me a chance. Just in case you aren't aware, you usually give the guy who started the last thread if the Sox won a chance to start the new thread. If the Sox lose it's open season. I figured I still had a few hours to do it. But its cool it's yours now. You preserved my 3-0 record and bring home a winner Joxer ! Ah sh!te. I never copped that... far be it from me to break with Soxtalk tradition. Sorry for stealing your thunder, mate. Hopefully your magic will work vs. Detroit.
