  1. Best part of this reveiw...............someone from ESPN finally admits that U.S. Cellular isnt a bad park, and Sox fans finally got the recognition for being knowledgable fans that we are.
  2. Danny Wright wins..........I cant believe im saying that. But i give him credit, he did a hell of a job. Anybody else here agree Wright should go back to being the 5th starter, and send Cotts back down.
  3. SOX WIN............Gordon breezes through the inning.
  4. Why is flash pitching in the bottom of the 9th.............
  5. Heres the 9th for the Sox. Crede gives a weak popup, as if he just wants this game to finish quick............ Olivo flies out to left........... Graffinino singles to right............. Lee reaches on a possible error from the shortstop...... Big frank grounds to short, lee is out on the force at second....... I wouldnt be surprised if Koch pitches the bottom of the 9th.
  6. Has anybody noticed how much Hawk and DJ are communicating on tonights broadcast..............I wonder If it has anything to do with Mac,Jurko, and Harry blasting Hawk for ignoring Darrin all the time. Or maybe its the fact were beating Anaheim, and KC/MInn lost.
  7. Two down. Angels score on a sacrifice fly. 10-4 Sox
  8. Hey.........were kicking ass, everyone stop b****ing. Barring a total collapse we'll be a half game behind KC. Ah f***............two straight base hits against Wunsch. No outs.
  9. Konerko with a two out double in the 8th. Keep it coming guys, dont want Anaheim pulling what we did last night.
  10. Holy s***. Im too lazy to look back on the thread, but how did we score in the 7th. It was 7-3 last time I noticed............
  11. Speaking of posts......................650 of the 1,014 members on Sox Talk.com have 0. ........... 121 members have 100 or more posts. ............ 44 have 1,000 or more. Always wondered why it seemed the same people always posted, half of the board don't do anything.
  12. I was listening to that too. Fifteen minutes ago there was a segment about Joe Carter asking a seventh inning strech conducter if he talks to a person who had been dead for five years. Most of the callers dissed the seventh inning stech, and Ron Santo. Funny how Cubs fans cant seem to realize hes the worst play by play announer in the history of radio. ----Does anyone happen to have a sound clip of Ron Santo yelling OH NNOOOOOOOO!!!!!! ESPN 1000 played one during their segment, it was hilarious.
  13. -Great choice for the # 2 spot. All UK women have their teeth missing, and are inbreds. And their accent suites more a butler then some hot chick. Girls may like English guys for their sophistication, I just think English women are ugly. --I have never heard anything about Albania or Turkey........
  14. Sox make the list at #2, #3, and indirectly #9 (Number three being the disco demolition, nine is Jordan playing for the birmingham barons). We'll be hearing about this sox honor for the next couple months. Im not very knowledgable on the history of sports, but can somebody honestly say there has not been a blunder higher then the White Sox playing in shorts. Yes, its embarrassing but it shouldnt be number 2. Seems like ESPN couldnt stand The Sox getting attention and decided to jab at us once again. Not to mention the on field attack of Gamboa getting media time again because the father got a light sentence. The black guy on PTI even delivered a cheap shot by saying "Its.....the SOUTH SIDE" when in reference to the attack at the Cell. ---Gashwound, whitesoxinteractive.com has pictures of the sox in shorts under their gallery section.
  15. I didnt see the game, but I talked to a buddy of mine who said Schoenweiss was laying fat pitches right down the middle when he was up in the count. He did good getting ahead of hitters, but never found his strikeout pitch. When Koch came in to get the final two outs, did anyone watching the game remember the velocity on his fastballs? Got two popups in a tight situation, though one run scored. (Which proves Koch always gives up a run, event if it isnt charged to him). I knew we werent going to comeback and win in the 9th because Koch would have gotten the win, and that just doesnt make sense.
  16. Pops him up.............. Threw him a cookie.......... Nicknames for players: Tony G, Paulie, C-Lee,
  17. Ive never met you before Heather, but I doubt it. You go toISU (a kick ass party school), and by the way you talk on this board I would of thought your down with the freaky s***. As if i needed an example, just bring up the passionless sox thread, ive never heard a virgin talk like that.
  18. 1) Who will win the series (CHW/ANA/Split) (2 points)? Split 2) Will Frank Thomas have at least 4 hits (Y/N) (2 points)? Y 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 2 4) Who will lead the Sox in extra-base hits (4 points)? Konerko 5) How many homeruns will the Sox hit (5 points)? 5 6) How many baserunners will Mark Buehrle allow (5 points)? 7 7) How many games ahead or behind will the Sox be in the AL Central (4 points)? Tie for first 8) Will Neal Cotts get a win (Y/N) (2 points)? N 9) Will the Sox have any ten-hit games (Y/N)(2 points)? Y 10) Will Gary Glover allow an earned run (Y/N) (2 points)? N TIEBREAKER: Pitch count for Neal Cotts 90
  19. It seems these last couple series there has always been one person who puts up career numbers in RBI's. Off hand I know Olerud put up a career game in the Seattle Series, and I believe someone for KC did at the Cell when they put up 13 runs.
  20. The Sox seem to do whatever we dont expect them to do (do well against pedro, Halladay, and recently Mulder) but when he have high hopes (TB, Detroit series before the break) they choke. I know its common knowledge that we do poorly against pitchers we've never seen, but It will change tomorrow night. Expect a W.
  21. According the FSN he threw one pitch at 97 MPH, and its the one Tejada grounded out with. Since FSN was consistent with the speeds all night I have to believe it. But it gets overlooked when he gives up HRs.
  22. Thats gone. 6-0 A's. First place was good while it lasted
  23. Long game ahead of us. Maggs grounds out for the third out.
