QUOTE(zach23 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:16 AM) More often than not, I hate it when more people are there. It is great to have the crowd noise and see the place full, but the big crowds also bring out the big idiots. It would be ideal if the place was filled with people who have bought ticket packages ahead of time and have money invested in their seats. This way they are less likely to be there just to get drunk and make an ass of themselves. I have had my seats in the bleachers for years now and I love the view from out there, but I am at the point where I don't even want to go on Mondays and Tuesdays anymore. The half price nights bring out the crowds and with them the drunks who feel they have to start fights and throw s***. I usually have a better time when the crowd is smaller. Easy in and easy out parking, no lines for food, and I can hit the men's room and get back to my seat without missing a pitch. Plus, I don't have swarms of drunken frat boys fist fighting around me or throwing food, coins and other objects at other people in the crowd. Guess I am just a grouchy old fart now. sometimes i have to agree with that. i think in sept, if we're in the race still, more fo teh true fans will be out and it will be an energetic crowd thats into the game........hopefully.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) Harris has done the job this year as a backup to Guch. Timo has done s***. Enough said. No stats needed here.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) My parents paid almost $10,000/year to send my sister (instate) to NIU--which isn't even the best state school. (Which, by the time my scholarships were counted in, is as much as my tuition was to a private school.) it's around 16k/year for U of I in-state, that includes everything. dorms are a ripoff.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) Aaron says he's trying harder.. but most of the others really have no use for him. Since his ex passed away he's toned down quite a bit, but he still doesn't go out of his way to be friendly and the others make no effort to do the same in return. Sad.. but he burned bridges to ashes last year. i steff's inside info

QUOTE(56789 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) I hated looking for a job this time last year. I applied so many places and i nothing happened and i was so frustrated. Then my mom told me to go apply at the grocery store where i work now, but i didnt even want to because i had it in my head i wasnt gunna get a job anywhere, then a few days later i reluctantly went and they called me back 2 days later to get an interview, which really was ok you are starting thursday if you still want the job. It turned out i picked the perfect time to go because someone got fired the day before i applied. sounds liek how i got my first job soph year of high school. I spent the entire summer looking and got nothing back. THen my mom said why not apply at the grocery store, i did....and got hired on the spot because they lost someone that day. Worked there for 2 years...

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 06:16 PM) If you lose a game, is it not the fault of a player or manager? this was most definitely a team loss.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) I still propose trading him for Griffey and moving Dye to 1B and when Griffey gets his rest, put Everett in there. And you probably could play righty-lefty more with Gload and Dye at first. Pods steals 3rd. why in gods name would the reds take konerko?
-
alright, arow, you know what you gotta do.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 5, 2005 -> 05:26 PM) I'll tell ya... screw trading Everett, screw trading Thomas -- find a taker for Konerko, move Everett to first, and let's go from there. hell, just get g-load back here and have him start. ross is the man
-
nice job by coco cutting that off. that's alright. pods needs to come in right here...
