  1. I will never understand why we are giving away Mother Day Totes to girls ages 14 and up.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2015 -> 08:03 PM) Johnson has got to be running earlier in the count He ran on 2-1. Luckily he didn't run on 0-1
  3. Perfect count to steal him.
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:54 PM) They can be compared, in the sense that both had an inflated batting average on the 6th of May in consecutive years. And I just told you he's not particularly hitting the ball hard. And the point of BABIP is to worry before the average goes down. There is a difference though, we all knew Flowers was going to come back to earth because he has always been bad, Avi doesn't really have a track record at the MLB level while be healthy and he has a way better chance to hit over .280 then Flowers does I told you, I don't care what is BABIP is. Until he stops hitting the ball and getting on base it doesn't really matter to me.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:48 PM) Really it is called a caught stealing I know but he wasn't running to try and get a stolen base. There is a difference
  6. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:48 PM) Yeah and this day last year the highest average on the team belonged to Tyler Flowers. And his hard hit % is 86th of 183 qualified hitters. Tyler Flowers and Garcia can't be compared. Avi is young and has the tools to be a good hitter. Once his average goes down and he isn't hitting the ball hard when he gets out then I will worry about it. He is playing well right now, let's be happy we have at least one guy hitting well
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:46 PM) Sox cannot steal a base to save it's life. 4 for 12 now. He wasn't trying to steal
  8. Great decision coach. Great execution vet
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:43 PM) Tigers' announcers disagree...and you know they would err on the side of taking a hit for their guy if it was in any doubt. Play was made. Doesn't really matter now
  10. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:37 PM) I'm not commenting on that play, more that he's at 0.0 WAR with a .441 BABIP He's hitting it less hard than in 2012 and 2013 when he was worth a combined -0.5 WAR. Seems like he's had a lot of soft and medium line drives, which are unsustainable. Not this again... He has the best average on the team and he hit the ball hard. I don't care what his BABIPBIPE is.
  11. "If things are going well that is caught" shut up Hawk. At what point do things go well? They have to start somewhere.
  12. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:31 PM) Avi is at 0.0 WAR and is due to crash HARD. Did you see him hit the ball there or just saw he hit into a DP?
  13. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 5, 2015 -> 07:28 PM) Avi hit it pretty hard. He did, it was just hit right at him
  14. And 1 run out of all that.. Typical
  15. Oh Adam. That was a cookie
  16. We scored!!!! Wooooo!! Eaton looks weird
  17. Let's not screw this up
  18. Why did Eaton stop? He had 3rd easy
  19. Sigh... I had some hope
  20. Lol wow, nothing has changed. Comical
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 5, 2015 -> 02:40 PM) For the most part, they have been hitting cut off men. Eaton airmailed one, but OFs throwing the ball home usually have no shot if you try to hit the cutoff man, unless the 3B coach is sending a guy just to send him. If it is going to be close, throwing it at the cutoff man is a concession. So airmailing it really isn't as bad as it looks as long as the chance is legit. It is bad if there is really not a legit chance of throwing out the runner. Rundowns.........every single team has trouble with rundowns. Gillaspie has booted balls, Abreu, Micah, Avi, it is always going to be an adventure when it is hit towards these guys. Am I the only one who doesn't see it as an adventure when the ball is hit towards Micah? I think he has been doing just fine at 2B (granted I wasn't able to watch this weekend) but I don't think he is the issue on defense. Gillaspie, Flowers, Avi, and Abreu are worse, IMO. I must be one of the only ones who have been happy with the play of Micah so far. I think if the other guys (vets) were hitting better, Micah would be hitting better as well. He also hasn't had a lot of AB's so far, he will only get better.
  22. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 5, 2015 -> 01:00 PM) HR open for tonight's games. If we are gonna get our offense going it should be tonight. Go Sox!!! Since I stopped picking we haven't hit a home run. I wonder if I should pick tonight
