Kip Wells is not too great. Biddle has looked pretty ordinary lately. Foulke was always doing as well as he is now, if not better. Clon's done worse than he should, Loaiza much better, it's more or less a wash. Kip Wells hasn't been bad at all. He has a 3.76 ERA and has only given up 90 hits in 105.1 IP. His walk and strikeout rates aren't great, but they aren't bad either. That's about what I said, in my "not too great". We as White Sox fans tend to think that we have lost a ton of really good players, when in reality, Wells after him great first half last year has been o.k. and Biddle has blown a few big ones recently. We just tend to over estimate what we've given up.

It was baumy compared to when I flew back to Calgay after that series.

On opening day I heard White Sox fans boo the s*** out of Gordon,Koch,Kimm,White Manuel and some others. Sox fans are brutal, but those players laughed and smiled and cashed their salaries for that series, damn close to what I make in a year if not more. It's not a padgent, no awards for class in the stands. Sox fans are very classy in other ways, very knowlegable, actually paying attention to the game, cheering when appropriate.

That sounds very accurate still? I remember being pretty positive on Loaiza in other threads, pointing out that he was twice a former ace, but I sure wouldn't say anyone could have figured this much from him.

Benitez is quite similar to Botch, though better(because Benitez actually strikes people out) but they both throw a hard dead straight fastball. If Boch threw hard anymore they would be very alike.
