  1. His lack of speed is why I don't like him 2nd, but its hard to argue against the OBP. Needing him to break up the RH bats in the middle of the order just speaks to the need for LHH power.
  2. Hahahahah ok. I'm not sure you would recognize a fact if it struck you upside the head, but by all means, enjoy your delusional attention-seeking fantasy land.
  3. I switched over to that game after the Mets & Nats went into rain delay, and I totally agree. Same quality of production, but the announcers were a bit too loose & jokey as you said. I saw someone say on twitter last night that while they enjoyed the millennial hang vibe they wanted a bit more description of on the field happenings and I thought it was spot on. Lets hope they tone it down a bit and focus more on the game at hand in the future.
  4. Yeah, Lonzo being out half the season isn't the reason why they have collapsed. He really is a great catalyst, but his play likely masked deeper issues. I am looking square at Billy Donovan myself. I'm not Xs & Os expert, but I have no idea what offense they are trying to run. Or if he ever truly got the buy-in from Demar and Zach on what he wanted to do. Whatever it is, it doesn't work. I think Zach & DD can work as a pairing, but letting them take turns in ISO won't win big games. More Vuc down low and more 3 point shooters doesn't fix it either. Though they desperately need more reliable 3 point shooting. On the defensive side, it's even worse. Zero point of attack D, zero rim protection, slow rotations, and zero adjustments from the coaching staff. Frankly, they quit trying a while ago. I won't go so far as to say that the team has outright quit on the season because they do care on some level, but the effort has been atrocious on both ends for a while. Teams have really figured out what they Bulls try to do, and that was pretty limited to begin with, and we don't see wholesale changes let alone meaningful adjustments. I don't know what the fix is, but they can't blame injury and put a band-aid over this meteoric collapse and call it an offseason.
  5. Short of some miraculous playoff run, I don't know how the FO runs it back next year with this same group. I can't recall a team crashing & burning so hard after flying so high earlier in the season. Adding a rim protector and a few minimum salary shooters isn't going to solve this. There has to be some accountability somewhere, be it a coaching change, trading Vuc+ for a difference maker, or something. Mortgaging the near future for Vuc and a facade of respectability means jack shit if they merely blame injuries and fail to fix the deeper issues, whatever they might be.
  6. Jake Burger, he of 16 (SIXTEEN!!) major league games is somehow irrefutably factually better than Yoan Moncada. You heard it here folks. Pack it up, we're all done here. The nonsensical hot takes flying around this place are going to melt my brain I swear...
  7. Possibly related, but boy does that depth look awfully thin right now....
  8. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the Mets Nats broadcast last night on Apple TV. The whole broadcast, from commentators to visuals & graphics, to production value, was hands down better than anything I have seen on an ESPN national broadcast in ages.
  9. Some guys are just more reserved on the field. No one actually knows the level of fire or passion Moncada plays with even if he’s not overly effusive out there. It’s all stupid projection from some fragile insecure meatheads IMO. Moncada isn’t w/o his flaws as a player but the shit people attack him for has less to do with Moncada than it does with biases in said fans.
  10. 7th & 8th is slightly better, but if they both have to be in the lineup don’t put them back to back. 7th & 9th to at least try to avoid rally killing slappy ground outs back to back.
  11. I’m in the same boat. I’m expecting it to be more than a minor day to day thing. It would be our luck after all.
  12. Agreed. Between the cold, his seeming decline against RHP, and his propensity to start slow in April, he would be my first choice.
