  1. Rob Young‏ @RobertHYoung We are in full blown ? mode on Q. I'm keeping an eye on Lewis Brinson from MIL, Ozzie Albies/Ronald Acuna from ATL, and Kyle Tucker from HOU
  2. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 06:57 PM) I'm really not a McMahon fan to be honest. His AAA stats scream outlier to me and he's never really been that good otherwise. From a pure talent standpoint, I'd argue Pint is the best prospect in the deal. From a pure talent standpoint, yes. But aside from his dismal 2016 season, McMahon has always been solid. This year, of course, he has taken a great leap forward, but I don't think it's a fluke.
  3. My guess after those Rabbit tweets is it's agreed upon late tonight, announced tomorrow.
  4. Brian Bilek‏ @BrianBilek_ Mulitple teams have been involved in the talks for Quintana: MIL, ATL, HOU, NY, COL & more I'm sure. My opinion/guess: #Brewers.
  5. Brian Bilek‏ @BrianBilek_ Report: "If Jose (Quintana) pitches for the Sox again it's likely because of a sudden, significant impasse..." #WhiteSox
  6. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 06:44 PM) Change Tapia to Dahl and you might have something there, but no way I accept a deal where Tapia is the best prospect. Rankings aside, I'd argue that McMahon is the best prospect in that deal
  7. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 06:42 PM) It's going to be the Braves and I am not a huge fan of their prospects Outside of Albies/Acuna/Maitan, I agree. Their pitching prospect depth is good but I'm sure we'll (rightfully) be targeting position players, and they may not give up any of the big 3.
  8. More Dave: whitesoxdave‏ @barstoolWSD PSA: If you DM me (looking at about 50 of you) looking for Sox info I'm obligated to just ignore the DM, just have fun the next few days --------------------------- "few days"...
  9. Carmen DeFalco‏ @CarmenDeFalco Some Q stuff; from source, "stating to feel like it won't be long. Braves making push since weekend. Brewers and Rockies, too." #WhiteSox

  11. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 05:48 PM) I'm pretty sure its Acuña. Thats what they had on his jersey for the futures game and one of the announcers pointed out its pronounced a-coon-ya because of the enye. Thanks.
  12. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 05:38 PM) Acuna-Moncada would be a marketing dream for Boyer. It'll go perfectly with our Burger and Beer. Irrelevant, but is it pronounced A-coon-a, or A-coon-ya (like Acuña)?
  13. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 02:03 PM) I can't really blame the Sox for not wanting to deal Shark at the deadline in 2015. They had just traded to bring in Frazier and wanted to go for it, however ill advised. We traded for Frazier after the 2015 season, when Samardzija was gone
  14. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 01:32 PM) If they were willing to give up Russell for Quintana then I don't think we would get much beyond him, maybe a lottery ticket or two at best. Oh god
  15. whitesoxdave‏ @barstoolWSD Eyeball emojis on eyeball emojis right now #? (this is young person slang for "something is happening")
  16. Brian Bilek‏ @BrianBilek_ Replying to @mvales07 Sox don't want to wait til 7/31
  17. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 11:06 AM) Who the hell is Ryan McGuffey lol CSN Chicago producer
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 10, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) I hope three weeks from tonight we're all happy about 5/6 trades while the Blue Jays are kicking our ass. I fear, like I have for the last few deadlines, that given Hahn's general lack of July trade activity, we won't see more than a couple deals. Obviously that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the right offers aren't there.
  19. First two guys go down on 5 pitches and then Abreu works a 10-pitch AB. Gotta love it.
  20. Pint is great and all, but it sure would be great to see one of Rodgers/McMahon in our organization.
  21. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 01:33 PM) I don't think so. I think you are looking at a top 250 prospect. Poor defensive player with not much speed, not much power. He's a good hitter who will help a contender down the stretch, but there's not a ton of value there. Best bet would be to identify a talented player in the low, low minors. His defense is bad by advanced metrics but isn't that bad overall. He has a cannon for an arm and can make a highlight reel catch every now and then. I think he's serviceable defensively. That said, I'd be surprised but pleased to get a top 100 guy for him straight up.
