Could've been a big inning if Sanchez's liner was a bit to either side of Moss. 3 singles, 1 liner into a double play.

SEA trades Tyler O'Neill to STL for Marco Gonzales
QUOTE (Username @ Jul 21, 2017 -> 12:16 PM) Totally feels like a flip is coming. They've got Bader and like 5 former top prospects plus Fowler already in that OF. Could just be a buy-low on O'Neill taking advantage of the Mariners desperation, but I don't see them sitting on all those guys. Guessing a cost-controlled bat because the starting staff is loaded. But regardless of how much the Mariners may have soured on O'Neill, it's still puzzling that they couldn't have gotten a better return, especially from us.

Cafardo: Cardinals interested in Avi
Carson Kelly, Tyler O'Neill and a couple lottery tickets for Avi and Swarzak- how far off is that?

SEA trades Tyler O'Neill to STL for Marco Gonzales
If this is all it took for such a prospect, we could've given them David Holmberg or Swarzak or something. An unbelievably lopsided trade.

O'Neill, the #29 prospect in baseball, has been traded to St. Louis for LHP Marco Gonzales per the Mariners Twitter account.

QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 10:30 PM) Delmonico played left tonight. Just sayin'. Good, he's definitely not making it as a 3B, barring major improvements.

Kanny was killed by what was likely an aggressive send before Micker's triple. Rutherford got thrown out at home in the 9th, Kanny lost by 1

Yolmer Sanchez
Seattle needs a reliever (still) and a utility infielder, per reports. Swarzak/Sanchez or Saladino could be an option there.

Renteria is a horrible in-game manager
QUOTE (Buehrlesque @ Jul 20, 2017 -> 04:12 PM) Bunting for a hit is different than sacrifice bunting. If Timmy wants to hone his ability to bunt for a hit, that's fine. But what he did yesterday was not that. This, along with Saladino's bunt the night before in our only real scoring threat of the night, was extremely hard to watch.

Yolmer Sanchez
Now that Moncada is the everyday second baseman, the Sox have a surplus of utility infielders. Sanchez, Saladino, Davidson, Hanson, and Leury are all capable of stepping into the 3B/DH roles, and one would have to assume that Davidson is taking up one of those spots every day. With teams like Tampa Bay and Washington potentially needing infield help, I can definitely see Yolmer being moved at the deadline since he won't find much playing time here.

Jake Peter promoted from Birmingham to Charlotte
QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 07:05 PM) Nice. Maybe Flete goes to AA then He definitely would deserve it. Nothing left for him to prove in A+.

Renteria is a horrible in-game manager
Patrick Nolan @SSS_pnoles The White Sox have 17 failed sacrifice bunt attempts in 2017. Half the remaining American League teams haven't even attempted more than 17.

2017 Offseason White Sox News, Notes, and Tweets thread
Once Clippard/Swarzak or any reliever gets traded, I think someone like Pelfrey should be moved to the bullpen (or, even traded) so that Lopez, and eventually Fulmer, can start here.

What would it take - Machado/Harper
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 10:11 PM) Arenado is a free agent the following year, and will be 29. I'd be more than happy to make a run at him. As would I. Arenado >>>>>>>>>>> Machado, even with the age difference
