Sure, but once people look past his name and realize that he's not having a very good season, maybe my viewpoint would make more sense. 3 months of mediocrity in the form of a once dominant pitcher is obviously not cheap, but Calhoun's potential is as high as can be for a DH type.
Sure, his value takes a hit by his lack of real position, but it is extremely rare for somebody to have the potential to not only be a power hitter with a high average, but to also take many walks and rarely strike out. That combination is almost unheard of and can be lethal.
