This is who we were talking about.
QUOTE (LDF @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 02:18 PM)
i still maintain that it was all JR doing.... for this main reason. this is not a jump on JR rant.
the sox really like the danks brothers and drafted jon twice. the first time Borasrse was his agent. then they, the danks got rid of the agent and then signed with the sox.... i am skipping parts.
JR must have felt he owed jon a contract b/c jon trusted jr..... so jr returned the favor.... no one will say that jr never turned his back on anyone if they went to bat for jr.
that loyalty is why i have always like of him and still does. loyalty in this age, this kind of loyalty is rare.
What? Didn't the Sox trade for Danks from the Rangers?
QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 02:11 PM)
That whole waiting out the OF thing worked out pretty well for the Sox... Gordon back to KC, Upton to Det, etc. Can't say I'm surprised because this organization is a s*** show sometimes but still pretty disappointed.
Like some poster here said, we took a road trip and stopped 3/4 of the way there.

No matter where he signs just please sign by tonight.
I'd rather he sign with us this weekend than Washington tonight...
QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 01:24 PM)
Hahahahaha what? Did you even think about this?
The Nats would probably take Sale for Harper alone. Dude is a FA in two years.
Yeah I know, I thought he had more team control years
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 01:07 PM)
He still would cost Adams at a minimum, plus.
Avi, on the other hand....
Sale, Anderson, Fulmer, Adams for Harper. Who says no?

Heyman
Nats are indeed in on cespedes. Would be interesting to see where he fits, and who may go. @Ken_Rosenthal 1st
Heyman
Nats never made offer to wei-yin Chen after showing interest. Perhaps they were saving for cespedes. Could see as value play
Thank you.

Can you guys please copy/paste tweets onto here? Twitter is blocked on this current WiFi network.
Sabermetrics aside:
2B: Lawrie
SS: Saladino > Ramirez
3B: Frazier
However, overall, I do think the IF defense will be improved. Frazier and Saladino are above average, and Lawrie may be decent with a full season at 2B.
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 21, 2016 -> 08:08 AM)
Aren't we 2 games ahead of the Royals for fangraphs projections? Cespedes would put us ahead of Detroit.
You of all people should know how bad those Fangraphs predictions are for the Royals. I wouldn't put any stock in them there.

The fact that this thread is titled anything "per Rabbit" tells me Soxtalk has officially lost it.
I wonder if lurkers/guests who don't really know posters see "per Rabbit", have no idea who "Rabbit" is, and think we're full of it/getting rumors from a rabbit
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 03:26 PM)
I like that someone just created an account and their username is 'Yoenis Cespedes'.
That name is going to be funny if he signs somewhere other than with the Sox.
Whoever that is should agree with everything I post.

Rabbit just bumped this tweet:
Brian Bilek
@ChiSoxraBBit Brian Bilek Retweeted NoRoleModels
I think the #WhiteSox are a top contender for Cespedes and will be in it until the day he signs.
J. Cole? What?
