  1. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 26, 2013 -> 06:38 AM) What the hell? Yeah... I haven't seen the movie but he's definitely an actor now
  2. Also Lance Broadway. Good guy. He had a semi-important role in Olympus Has Fallen with Morgan Freeman, too.
  3. Brian McCann had an AJ like reaction to this- http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=30934665 I love it. Makes me want us to go after him more
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 07:13 PM) You are correct. Jermaine Due also stole 1b, when he fouled one off during the WS and acted like he was hit. Paulie hit the grand slam the next pitch. Leury does need to learn how to bunt for hits. If he does, he could become extremely valuable. From what I'm hearing Leury sounds like a Billy Hamilton divided by two
  5. Now we sit back and let Axelrod do his thing
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 06:34 PM) Can't believe I forgot J. Danks...I'd give him a C I know... when I copied and pasted yours I realized that we were missing 20% of our starting staff
  7. Also, my sad preseason projections. Chicago White Sox- 86-76, 2nd place in AL Central Pitching 1. Sale- 18-12, 3.02 2. Peavy- 16-10, 3.19 3. Quintana- 12-8, 3.74 4. Santiago- 6-14, 3.88 5. Danks- 10-12, 3.86 SP Totals: 62-56, 3.54 Axelrod- 3-7, 4.85 Jones- 6-2, 3.37 Crain- 2-4, 2.67, SV Veal- 3-0, 4.33 Thornton- 2-6, 3.45 Lindstrom- 6-0, 2.99 Reed- 2-1, 3.44, 42 SV RP Totals: 12-20, 3.66 Batting Flowers- .207, 18/37 Konerko- .267, 18/61 Dunn- .212, 43/92 Beckham- .266, 7/45 Ramirez- .281, 15/74 Keppinger- .272, 8/53 Viciedo- .262, 27/76 De Aza- .267 15/50 Rios- .277, 20/78 Batting Totals: .257, 171/566
  8. On a scale out of 100 being the best: C. Sale- 98 J. Crain- 94 J. Quintana- 87 A. Garcia- 85 H. Santiago- 83 A. Ramirez- 83 A. De Aza- 83 C. Gillaspie- 80 G. Beckham- 80 J. Peavy- 79 M. Lindstrom- 79 A. Rios- 79 M. Thornton- 77 N. Jones- 77 D. Viciedo- 77 A. Rienzo- 76 P. Konerko- 75 D. Veal- 73 A. Reed- 73 A. Dunn- 73 J. Keppinger- 69 J. Phegley- 67 T. Flowers- 66 D. Axelrod- 48 Ventura- 65 Cooper- 87 Manto- 74
  9. Sale has 2.97 ERA compared to 2012's 3.05. Hopefully it doesn't do any rising this week
  10. I liked Serigo Santos a lot when he was closer
  11. I predict 14-4 Cleveland, 12 runs in 3.2 innings for Axe
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 09:21 AM) Short of a fire sale, it is pretty impossible to clear 14 roster spots. Will Floyd be re-signed? Completely forgot about him.
  13. QUOTE (oldsox @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) Just before Giambi hit it out, I was about to mention that Reed looks a lot heavier than he did at beginning of season. Does anyone else notice that? Yes. Could be a problem as in May his ERA was under 1
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 09:14 PM) His stuff isn't good enough to be a closer, IMO What should he be then? Setup? MRP? Long?
  15. It's his 2nd season. you know how Bobby did in his 2nd season? ERA of 4. Give Addison another year before you write him off
  16. May sound like a dumb question but any chance Rodon drops to 3/4/5?
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 24, 2013 -> 08:59 PM) Yes. Thank you. I could actually see the Sox drop to 5th. Twins may lose out, and the Royals may just fold once they get eliminated. Have a fun weekend in Chicago and lose some ballgames. Notable #5's of the last decade- Buster Posey Matt Wieters Brandon Morrow Ryan Braun Better than the notable #4's (R. Zimmerman)
  18. Late, but nice pen work from Jonesy. 4-5 with a 4.17 ERA. Much different from last year's 8-0 w/ 2.38.
  19. Notable #4 picks of the last decade: Ryan Zimmerman. That's it.
  20. Fun fact- Last year, in the last game of the year in Cleveland, Viciedo hit a grand slam in the 9th inning. Today, in the last week, he hits a game tying home run in the 9th inning.
  21. Sox fans in July: "Dunn is hitting .314 in his last 25 games! He's turned it around! Keep him forever!" Sox fans in September: "Dunn blows! I hope he retires! Worst hitter in the majors!"
