  1. Rondon has awesome range. Nice arm.
  2. Rondon has beautiful range. Got to a ball hit up the middle. It was a base hit because the runner was fast it wouldn't of mattered. Just nice he got to it. He bobbled the ball. Rondon then helps turn the DP with a nice accurate throw.
  3. Lead off triple. Rondon flew out shallow left couldn't tag. but Trey got him in
  4. Nice hot night but breezy
  5. I only trade for Price if we can extend him. Although we could likely get something good next year if we had him and dealt him
  6. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 19, 2014 -> 11:55 AM) Nice. Feel free to share any reports from the game! I'm no scout lol but I will update. I'll try and take some videos of Rondon.
  7. Im at this game tonight. Hope it's not to f***ing hot here lol
  8. Going to see Kanny tonight.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 10:51 PM) That's a bit too much. Come on. You're trading Alexei Ramirez, not Cal Ripken. Ya we aren't getting walker, but maybe we can snag Wilson.
  10. We can dream for a month and a half. Well see in the coming weeks as the deadline nears.
  11. @SethLakso: If you watch Micah Johnson in BP, the idea that he could run into 15 home runs in a season starts to seem more and more possible.
  12. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:48 PM) I agree, I would ask for the minimum of Walker, Guerrero, and Wilson. Heavy price for the best SS in the AL with a great contract. Yes indeed. Wilson is hitting .300 with 10 HR and 49 RBI .380 OBP .903 OPS
  13. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:48 PM) I agree, I would ask for the minimum of Walker, Guerrero, and Wilson. Heavy price for the best SS in the AL with a great contract. Well between Alexei, Beckham, and Danks. Maybe we can get some good prospects
  14. And I'm not in a huge rush to trade Alexei because of Abreu. We don't have many good hitters.
  15. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:42 PM) For Alexei, they better be prepared to give up a lot for Alexei. They would definitely overpay I feel like to win now. And it could work to our favor...I hope.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:38 PM) Give us Taijuan Walker and he's yours Seattle. Swing for the fences big boy!
  17. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) Unless someone is looking to give us a near term long haul, what value do we get in moving Danks? Seems to me that he is producing at or above his current contract rate and we shouldn't be in a rush and he'll be an asset over the next few years as we become more competitive. I agree and I'm not really saying move him to move him. More or less thinking out loud.
  18. Here's the bit on ARam According to Bob Dutton of the Tacoma Times Tribune, the Mariners are interested in trying to pick up Chicago White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez. "Still, this rumor makes some sense: Ramirez, 32, is a right-handed bat - something the Mariners covet - and is enjoying a renaissance season with seven homers, 36 RBI and a .309 average in 69 games," Dutton pens. He also pointed out that the Mariners would have to add payroll to accommodate the $9.5 million due Ramirez this year and the $10 million due next season. That should not be a huge issue for Seattle, as they can work around it.
  19. http://www.gospelherald.com/articles/51629...m-white-sox.htm Mariners want Alexei. Wonder what we could get?
  20. Danks is pitching a lot better. Hope he keeps it up and we can get something halfway decent for him.
  21. Davidson and EJ have been a huge disappointment
  22. So much for Thome helping Davidson
  23. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 02:10 PM) Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo · 1h #Yankees are getting lots of calls on John Ryan Murphy, as @jaspsch writes for @mlbdailydish: http://www.mlbdailydish.com/2014/6/18/5821...ls-for-recently … This could be us. Wonder what the Yankees want?
  24. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 03:21 PM) Trade for David Price? 3. Chicago White Sox The White Sox haven't really been linked to Price, but it's time to realize they are committed to rebuilding and winning, and Price would make them a legitimate wild-card contender this year. Rick Hahn has done a masterful job since taking over as the GM in Chicago, highlighted by his outbidding everyone for MVP candidate Jose Abreu, who should be the starting first baseman in the All-Star Game next month. President Ken Williams and owner Jerry Reinsdorf know what it's like to hold up a World Series trophy in the White House, and with Williams' passion for winning and Reinsdorf's willingness to spend smartly to win, a potential trade for Price should not be dismissed. Remember when the White Sox flew under the radar and outbid everyone for Jake Peavy? I can see them doing it again here. The Rays could ask for second baseman Micah Johnson, who has quickly proven himself in the minor leagues to the tune of a .297 average and .371 on-base percentage. Johnson has good speed, and his defense is improving. Most importantly, he profiles as a leadoff hitter, the type of table-setter the Rays need atop their lineup. The Rays would need another significant piece in the deal, and struggling starting pitcher Erik Johnson could be the guy who makes the deal work. He was impressive in 2012 and 2013, when he showed plus stuff, and was in the team's rotation to start the season, but five failed starts got him shipped to the minors, where he continues to struggle. A physical would have to be done, of course, but if he's cleared, there's no reason he can't bounce back and develop into a solid No. 3 starter. Solving problems at second base and the top of the lineup while adding another solid starter might be enough to get Price at the end of the day. Since this package is "light" compared to the previous two deals, a throw-in such as right-handed pitching prospect Chris Beck would be necessary. The trade: Micah Johnson, Erik Johnson and Chris Beck for Price. I love Micah Johnson but I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. But only if we extended. Since we don't have many promising hitters in our farm. Micah is key.
