  1. 2 gift runs, thank you Rays.
  2. Castillo was pretty good up to this year, hopefully a change of scenery will help him and the Sox but I not holding my breath.
  3. It is a good sign that Quero might become the hitter he was last year.
  4. Peters is now swinging the bat well, a lot of hard hit balls but unfortunately right at somebody, they’ll starting falling in, can’t give up on this kid, he’s an excellent centerfielder, probably not a good as Robert but has more heart in his baby finger than Robert had in his whole body.
  5. This was just one of those games where pitching dominated, the Sox should not be ashamed, one of the best pitchers in the league beat them along with tough relief pitching. The Sox are going to come back and win the series tomorrow.
  6. Money is always the stumbling block, I think the new owners want some kind of deal by the end of August. They are from Jacksonville and want to stay in Florida so if there’s no deal in Tampa my bet is Orlando is the next stop.
  7. My MLB Sox game was blacked here in SW Florida so I watched the Rays feed but I caught the Vargas homer on Facebook with Schriffen, he was just horrible on that call, something he really needs to work on. I’ve sort of been in his corner thinking he would be more than adequate by now but now I’m not sure if there’s any hope.
  8. CBS Sports this AM has the Sox post season chances at 72.3% and projected wins at 84.3%.
  9. They have a site picked out just south of Raymond James Stadium, they need to be in Tampa, the Lightning sell out every game, the Bucs draw very well. The Trop’s location in St.Pete is too far away from the population base in Tampa and is too long of a ride and hard to get to with lots of congestion on the bridges. The fans who live just east of the Bay itself like in Ruskin and Sun City Center have to travel way south and out of the way to get to the Skyway bridge and then come back north, the only towns that have an easy trek are those who live in Sarasota and Bradenton and towns north like Clearwater and Dunedin.
  10. Taylor Walls might be the best fielding SS in the league but the guy just can’t hit.
  11. Peters hit the ball hard the last few times, maybe he’s coming out of it.
  12. I don’t think anyone hates Colson, I feel for the guy.
  13. Could be and doesn’t want to show them up, could be using some psychology there and in doing so the umpires will give him the benefit of the doubt on some pitches, they didn’t though on that 3rd strike.
