One underrated aspect of Ricky's managing (not that I'm a defender of his- I'd love to see someone better but I would caution it's possible to do worse) is that his defensive positioning is generally pretty good. Case in point that line drive to TA but also nearly every other Cubs line drive today

Great inning. He didn’t locate any of them perfectly but it was nice to see him throw three sliders in appropriate situations (and crashing low out of the zone is far preferable to hanging them). His fastball command was established early, and his movement and velo on it is where it needs to be if he’s gonna pitch like an ace.
