I think you just hit the nail on the head....
-
Oh no I didn't take offense to what you said, I was just taking the opprotunity to state that everyone has there opinions, and that this wasn't going to turn into a huge ass fight, I just happened to quote your particular post. No eveybodies the same it's great that we can all express our own opinions, that's all I'm trying to say....
-
I dont know. Considering it doesnt make you a murderer, I think being a soldier would bring glory that no other job could. A new motto for the navy and the military, "Its not a job, its not an adventure, its an honor". Hey, alright that's your opinion, I'm not gonna get all bent out of shape about it, our beliefs just differ.

something tells me in the 80s I was much older than you were! I was like the oldest person not a burn out at the Dio concert. Now I am the oldest guy burn out or not at the Eminem concerts. Some things never change! Just got tickets for the July Eminem show in Detroit, Missy Elliot and 50¢ on the bill. Very happy! Oh yeah, I was only alive for the latter 6 years of the 80's, and I can't really say I was rocking out to Dio and Dokken in my crib

My opinion is that I'm only ONE man. I want to live a long healthy life, and want to experience everything that I want to, having to serve in the military, and possibly getting killed, is denying my right to live, and I believe nobody has the right to tell me what to do and when to DIE. A government issued death sentence is not something I want to have happen to me. I couldn't take the thought that me dieing for my country is helping people in the next generations, because my personal belief is that when you die your dead. I don't think I can be chilling up in a "heaven" going "Wow, I feel so good that I'm now DEAD, and my family and friends are all devastated, but hey maybe I'll help our freedoms in the near future, too bad my goverment forced me against my will, to DIE for them" Sorry I just don't buy it. All these freedoms that you are talking about fighting for, especially freedom of choice would be violated if a mandatory military service were instituted. I would have NO choice but to do what they tell me to do. And I think that maybe those people who died before for this country to be FREE would be a little pissed, if those freedoms were denied, by forcing americans to do anything against their will, mandatory military service or otherwise.... Please keep in mind this is MY OPINION, and nobody is gonna change it, reply if you may, but don't try to push your personal beliefs on me, whatever they may be, respect my RIGHT, and FREEDOM of Speech.....

that one does crack me up all the time - it is a running joke from prior albums where he lectures Em for the most disgusting albums he has ever heard, the company willl never release it, now go give me something that can sell -- Metal is fine - there is room to be a metal head and yet have a little rap in your life - I once drove acrtoss the state to see Dokken and Ronnie James Dio - (Dio was really great, Dokken was just ok) and I have more heavy metal in my collection that anyone dreams of - although you are of course way ahead of me in the newer stuff. It gets harder to keep up when one gets older, damn it. So keep posting about what you like because it clues me in as to what to look for when I go shopping for new music! Bet you didn't think your posts were educational, did you? I did not know that my post we're educational, good to know. I am not really into the 80's metal, mainly 90's and up, and mainly "underground" stuff with the exception of a very bands (Alice in Chains-favorite of ALL time, Foo Fighters, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age) Now I have a reason to post what new albums I've bought this year, and nobody can stop me now!

I was driving around with my friend yesterday and he was playing some "Eminem Show" on his cd player, and I was actually enjoying it!!! Don't worry though I'll never buy it, maybe I'll burn it if I get a chance, but I was laughing at his little skits, especialy when he just shoots that guy for no reason when he starts saying he heard the new album.... But I'm still not gonna go away from my metal roots! I did buy some quality stuff yesterday: Machine Head- Hellalive- horribly gay name for an album, but it was a damn fine live album, sounds f***ing great, and boy do they know how to put on a live show! This is It: The Best of Faith No More- ah great stuff, Mike Patton is such a damn good singer, it has a lot of the classics, like "Epic" "From out of nowhere" and a great cover of "Easy Like Sunday Morning" Which bring my new albums bought this year total to 4, which is probably a quarter of the number you've bought

I saw this movie yesterday, and thought it was awesome, Jack Nicholson is just great, and this should be another Academy Award for him. It was the perfect mix of Drama with some hilarious moments to it. I think this was the only movie of movies that have nominations this year that I've seen, and I definately reccomend it, great movie.

Nope, besides the fact that they would probably kick me out because I'd be laughing too much, since I am not a serious guy in any way...

CRASH!!!!!! "....not that there's anything wrong with it....." Paulie looks a little drunk Ahhhh Good Times, Go Sox!
-
Hmmmm, something interesting I noticed, during BP, on the Sox black jerseys the numbers and names are black with a white outline, kinda like the Giants black with orange outline jerseys, and those Sox ones look good, I wonder if the actual Sox will have those this year...
-
Man, the Barons are gonna have a lefty heavy rotation this year, I really hope Corwin Malone has a strong comeback this year, and, of course a breakout year for yourself
-
too late. i did. SONAVA!!!!!!!! Doesn't matter I was right anyway it is Loaiza...
-
I think Loaiza is pitching, but don't quote me on it.
-
Yeah, so I SUCK at video games in general, all my friends were always better, and are still better, and I haven't played a baseball game in a looong time, so I bought ASB, and for me it's damn near impossible to guess the pitch and location, and I'm K'ing like 20+plus times a f***ing game! I really SUCK at the htting thing, maybe if I play it more, I'll get used to it....
-
If that new curve he's been trying was working good earlier in this game, can you imagine what it will look like outside of Tucson?
-
If you had the chance, would you trade the Sox last 2 seasons for the A's last 2 seasons? This is a tough one, the A's made the playoffs the last 2 seasons, but got the first round boot in 5 games games, and in 2000. In 2001 they had that insane 2nd half run, and in 2002 had the 20 game winning streak, but in turn setting the fans standards for the post season very high, only to suffer HUGE dissapointments. We all know how the Sox last 2 went... What would you do?
-
Niiiiiiiiiiice....
-
And speaking of Faith No More, I just bought the Dillinger Escape Plan with Mike Patton "Irony is a Dead Scene" EP, 18 minutes of pure insanity! Just thought I'd like to mention that
-
Well we could always try and get Chuck Finley, He's still available, I think. Match the Twins on lefty veterans.
-
Stewart looked good yesterday. At least we have some hope. Things with Danny Wright aren't looking good at all, knowing how the Sox have downplayed injuries in the past. Buehrle, Colon, Garland, Loaiza, Stewart? Certainly not how we pictured it a month ago. well you'd have to switch Loaiza and Stewart, cause JM said he wouldn't want 2 lefties going back to back.
