Ah, indeed, well during the rebranding / new logo process they may land on some new C lettering. It's possible they find one better but I do dig their current one.

I loved their post-wahoo branding. That C is awesome. They should find a way to keep that during their new branding process...which may take over a year.

LMAO at Soxtalk extrapolating that the Sox are not pursuing Hendriks from whatever Bernstein said, then telling Cheezy Beef that Dan Bernstein said "the sox are not going to sign Hendriks", turning it into Twitter thing with Cheesy Beef and actual Dan Bernstein.

I'm sure they were at this party all along. Who wouldn't want Hendriks? And with how notorious we are for not overpaying, why wouldn't these guys automatically think they have a shot?

I can dust off my Adam Eaton jersey now. He literally signed an extension the day I bought it, I think it was shortly after I bought it where I found out the news (before a spring training game). I liked his hard nosed attitude about baseball and that frankly, he's a grinder. I guess he's kind of a jerk, too, but it goes to show you that whatever he did in a Sox uniform was not bad enough to burn that bridge. Howie Kendrick is probably not someone that would do a fluff piece for no reason. Yes, the Sox / Chuck Garfien did a fluff piece because they knew how a bunch of you would react. I believe Howie / Sox team and their due diligence than Todd Frazier. The argument about his performance... I get it. We just have to hope he stays healthy, plays adequate RF and can still play like he did during his good years (which were great years!). Those of you clamoring for Mazara over Eaton.... Mazara's best years don't sniff Eaton's best years so that makes no sense.

If there is any hint of Nelson Cruz staying in the AL Central, than the Sox should seriously consider topping whatever offer he has from the ALC team. Removing him from a team like the Twins has a ton of value, doubly so if you're adding him to your team. Yeah, he may fall off a cliff, but this dude has proven that he knows how to hit, much more so than a guy like Edwin who is boom or bust. Nelson is one guy I wouldn't mind bringing in and holding back Vaughn or Yermin for.

Given that Mazara still is young and talented, I wouldn't mind him around on a minor league deal and as an injury reserve for Eloy and whoever our new RF is. But I'm guessing some team will give him a starting chance first. I don't know what Rodon was going to make but he wasn't and isn't worth it until he proves he can succeed. Yeah, he's had injuries, but when he is healthy he hasn't been great. For a lower price, I would love to see if he can put it together now that his major injuries are (hopefully) behind him.

Might as well throw in Elija Tatis along with Vaughn, Kopech and Stiever and really hate that trade. I don't think you can realistically trade Andrew Vaughn, let alone Michael Kopech. Their ceilings are incredibly high.

Do you guys think the Rangers would take Jonathan Stiever and Elijah Tatis for Lance Lynn?

I wish we were still involved in the Japanese market. I hoped the successes of Shingo and Tadahito had opened that door a bit wider. Those guys had some great times at Sox players.

You absolutely do this if Colome can be had for that cheap. He may not overpower you, but he's got stones and a closers mentality. With him being a primary cutter pitcher, does he remind anyone of a Mariano Rivera Ultra Light? Or Light? I am 100% okay with that kind of production.

Obviously, his peers respect the hell out of his rebuild and when they saw it come to fruition this year determined he was deserving of the award. All GM's make bad deals. If a few bad signings and trades disqualified you from winning this award, then no one would win it.
