  1. Marlins will find a way to win
  2. In my defense, I criticize during the game. All you have to do is look up some of my past posts and I praise JM when he does something right when I would have done something else. But, I criticize JM when he does something wrong when I would have done something else. JM has a history of mismanaging the BP. Koch was brought into the Organization to save games. His track record aside, when the 8, 9, and 1 part of the Cubs line-up is due up in the 9th, you go with your closer. Would JM have been criticized if Koch got lit up? Hell yeah he would have. But that wouldn't make his decision to bring in Koch in the 9th the wrong one. JM got lit up after Bonds HR off of Colon. I was one of the few that didn't criticize his decision to keep Colon in..... HOWEVER..... I don't think it was out of line of me to criticize JM for not having anyone warming in the BP way before Bonds connected. Yet another case in point of JM mismanaging the BP.
  3. That was actually '99 and '01 respectively but I know what you meant
  4. ShamME doesn't have a clutch bone in his body. Bases loaded today THREE times for ShamME and all the sCrUBS get out of it is a sac fly where Corky did his hop on a ball that didn't even make it to the warning track. He did the same thing (K w/bases juiced) on Wednesday against the Brewers in the 9th and the Brewers followed it up with a 6-run 10th. Chet Coppock..... for once..... is right. When the game is on the line, if I'm the opposition, I want ShamME at the dish. I'd be more worried if AGon was up with bases jacked and two outs in the 9th than ShamME. AGon, at least, has shown himself to be somewhat clutch. The only time ShamME's clutch with bases loaded is when Jeff Kent boots a DP ball in the 17th
  5. Very true. With the sCrUBS 8, 9, and 1 hitters due up for the 9th, Koch should have been in to start the inning..... especially with Gordon pitching 1 2/3's of relief. Problems aside, he's our closer and that is what he is supposed to do. Close games. The eventual tie, IMHO, in no way should fall onto the shoulders of Koch but on Manuel for, once again, mismanaging the BP.
  6. At least we get to see the gripping Reds-Indians match-up on National TV tomorrow
  7. Jumping up and down and high-fiving his players in the huddle at home plate after JV's walk-off HR. There's some energy and fire we haven't seen from JM ALL SEASON!!!!! Now..... if he can show us that he actually knows how to MANAGE.....
  8. One of your sCrUBBIE fan friends called you? Not sure if it will happen again, but FSN replayed the Friday game from last week at 7PM later that night. Perhaps the same will be done at 7PM tonight for this game ?
  9. Would he have scored fronm 2 or did Jiminez moving him to 3rd make the difference on that run? Jimenez didnt move him to third. Jimenez grounded out to 2nd, so Olivo had to stay put. So yep, DLo had NOTHING to do with this win. He very well might have cost us another game. :finger Without seeing the game, I was wondering that very thing. How does Olivo not move up to 3B on a ground ball to the right side of the infield? I thought he did . The FSN "runners on base diagram" had him at 2nd the whole time but I'm almost positive Olivo moved over to 3rd. Not to mention, the ball was hit hard by Maggs to Goodwin on one hop and I kind of doubt Olivo would have scored from 2nd on it..... even with his speed..... if he wasn't already at 3rd.
  10. Mike North should go back to doing what he does best..... selling hotdogs. He's the reason why I don't listen to Chicago sports radio..... not to mention the heavy pro-Cubs bias which is incredibly eveident..... even on the White Sox' flagship AM 1000.
  11. Ever since this team started doing the "little" things, they've been winning. The sCrUB fans are throwing in the towel. CubTalk.com even mentioned the "S" word for this June
  12. I LIKED THE JOE f***ING CREDE! How about a..... JOSE f***IN' VALENTIN
  13. HELL YEAH!!!!! :fyou Jerry Manuel too
  14. Raised his arms up and pumped his right fist in the air. There was no doubt about it.
  15. Anybody blaming Koch for Gordon loading the bases needs to get his head examined. I've been a critic of Billy's at times but this blown lead should not fall on him .
  16. ShamME sucks f***ing balls. Someone should remind him to pick up his face at home plate after hopping on a routine sac fly in the 9th. f*** that CHEATER!!!!!
  17. I had a feeling that 3rd run would be huge How much longer is this Organization going to tolerate JM and his continued mismanaging of the BP? Jesus Christ.....
  18. f*** YES!!!!! MAGGS CAME UP HUGE!!!!!
  19. 2 outs..... runners on 1st and 3rd, Sox up 2-1, and Koch warming up in the BP. I'd say that possible run at third is f***ING HUGE Alfonsixa LET'S GO MAGGS!!!!!
  20. We lit him up last year. I was at the game. Carlos Lee hit a HR on Cruz's first pitch in relief around the 7th I think .
