Once we find out what is going to happen with Big Frank and whether or not KW trades CLee for a pine tar rag and a bag of sunflower seeds, we'll all have a better grip on the future of the White Sox OF. You probably won't see Reed or Webster this year..... unless we are Frank and/or CLee-less, not in contention in the second half (like 2001 and 2002), and Borchard is already up with the ML team. Personally, I hope (REALLY HOPE) Borchard has a killer ST and is able to take over CF duties along with CLee in LF and Maggs in RF. But, if CLee is dealt, who plays left? Leifer? And if Borchard isn't ready and Rowand is still injured, who plays CF? Harris and his broomstick-handle bat? Rowand is a good 4th OF. He's not a starter..... IMHO.

At the rate a KW trade, Todd Ritchie, is going..... 33 wins is 5+ seasons worth. Yeah, Lidle wasn't the gem everybody was praying to land, but he showed sparks of genius this season (Lidle threw a one-hitter in the second half). I'd rather have a rotation of MB, Lidle, JG, DW, and Rauch or Biddle or add a name here for your number 5 pitcher than MB, Ritchie, JG, DW, and Rauch et al. :mad:

I wish I shared your optimism Chisoxfn. Locking up PK is less a "statement showing that they are going to try" but more a necessary signing to avert Organizational suicide if PK was somehow lured away from Chicago's Southside. Even JR's cheap ass realized this. If PK had gone somewhere else to play, the few Sox fans that still show up to see the team at Comiskey would have found something better to do with their money. :mad:
