Why is Keith the "little b****"..?? Because of his comments that he just made....regarding the team and all. I don't care if the clubhouse is like that...if you want any respect at all, you don't make s***ty comments like that. Right now, I have little respect for Ray-Ray...and the only reason I have respect for Thomas is because he has the balls to say it while on the team, and now he has to come back to it(most likely anyways). Trust me, I've always liked Keith as a pitcher...hell, he's been my second favorite White Sox player for a while...but those comments, much like Durham's, piss me off...that and the fact that he was never happy closing. If you are given a job by a team, then you accept it and do it happily. They aren't giving you the money to be unhappy about your job...if I got $4-6 million a year to pitch an inning or two a night, I would do it and I would do it happily, regardless of what the clubhouse or locker room is like. Too bad the problem with this team isn't players spouting off at the mouth after their traded. Considering Big Frank, Paul Konerko, Jose Valentin, Ray Durham, Keith Foulke and other current or former White Sox players have commented to the negative about KW's "hall monitor" practices, perhaps it is KW who has the problem. Perhaps KW is the "little b****." -

If ya knew you were going to get grief about it there, and they aren't your "friends" then why do you bother to post there? So you can come back here and tell everyone how nasty they are? Doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me I don't see anything in HSC's post that says she expected to get grief for her announcement. I think she just wanted to share some news she had heard and was expecting that the Sox fans on all the different sites would like to hear about it. I think she was surprised that people gave her grief about it. Why did her post that she had some inside news bother so many people? If someone didn't want to believe it than just ignore it and move on. To me the only reason her announcement would bother someone is if deep down they are jealous that they themselves were not in the position to make the announcement first. I know HSC and she isn't some insecure person that has to flaunt who or what she knows to get attention. She had some news and wanted to share it with fellow fans. It's also kinda sad to see the way that getupguy is being talked about there too. I've met Dan and he is a very nice guy. I've been at games with both him and HSC and had a great time. Word Dogg! I've also met HSC and Dan. Good people. Dan has given me and Guido free tix in the past with no expectation that we'd someday return the favor. And the only disagreement me and HSC had was who would start in CF last season. HSC still owes me a case of beer More than likely, the guys at WSI got their panties in a bunch when they weren't able to report on the exclusive..... and HOW DARE a poster and not a mod report on the news that he/she heard. :**** WSI!!!!!

one of the greatest FOX coups in awhile. Some of you may have seen the promos for a new "The Bachelor" type of reality show on FOX called "Joe Millionaire." For those that have seen the promo, I'll get to the good stuff I heard today on the radio in a second. For those who haven't, 20 or so fairly attractive but desperate women who must get married or their life will be worthless are whisked away to a chateau in France (of all places) where they will be introduced to a "millionaire" decended from French Royalty..... or so they think. This is THE BEST f***ING PART OF THIS SHOW IF WHAT I HEARD IS TRUE. On the final episode, in "The Bachelor" type of fashion, the "millionaire" will pick a woman whom he deems worthy of marrying..... but the best part is..... HE'S AN ATTRACTIVE PLUMBER WHO MADE $19,000 LAST YEAR!!!!! He is NOT a decendant of French Royalty..... just a regular, American "Joe." He will tell his fiance this fact during the final episode and FOX hopes to prove that love conquers all..... that some money-grubbing b**** that traveled half-way around the world to possibly marry a multi-millionaire with royal blood flowing through his veins won't care after she's been duped into falling in love with a guy somewhere around the POVERTY LINE! Now this is my kind of marriage reality show. I can't wait to see the bachelorette's reaction. I'll bet she'll dump his ass right there..... only minutes beforehand, she'll be expressing her "undying love" for him. This is gonna be great! Now..... if ABC's "The Bachelor" will get 20 women to fight over a guy that looks like Steve Buscemi, talks like Mike Tyson, and farts like Guido, I'd never leave the house cause I'd be a reality show junkie BTW, I heard this tid-bit on 105.9 FM in case anyone is wondering

So KW and his minions playing "Secret Squirrel" and Pettis being a tattle-tale make Foulke the "little b****?" Thanks for enlightening me to this twisted interpretation of b****iness  -
Don't let this trade fool you. This was more of a deal to unload Foulke's salary than it was a deal for Koch. Anybody else recognize the deja vu here? Everybody's in love with this Koch guy the same way everyone was in love with Toad Ritchie. Any deal KW makes now, I'm taking the wait and see approach. I hated the Ritchie deal. The only deal I've really liked so far were the Wells deal, Jimenez deal and now this deal(I'm talking right off the bat) I laid into KW when he got us Marte, because i was pissed since the guy was going to be on waivers. i dont think he was calling you out per say but this site ran what seemed like daily articles giving us every scenario on why ritchie was gonna be the next cy young...how this was a great trade blah blah blah..for what seemed like months (in reality it was probably a couple of weeks)..i think thats what he is refering to I wasn't calling anybody out. I was just mentioning the above stated scenario is similar to what people are saying about Koch. Since I have absolutely no confidence in KW's ability as a GM, I'll reserve my comments until I see Koch pitch in a White Sox uniform.

That should have been in Lime Green for sarcasm
-
As long as he doesn't inherit any base runners. I remember Marte letting quite a few ducks score when he came in with RISP. He was much better though when coming in to start an inning or when no runners were ISP.

Just heard this on ESPNews...Cub/Dodger trade

I guess one seemingly bad trade by Evans makes up for a dozen by KW ? -

from baseball prospectus on the foulke trade
CubKilla replied to baggio202's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd be for dealing Foulke for a proven starter. Fact of the matter is, this team didn't need a closer as much as it needed a SP. Alot of the posters here were for dealing Foulke in a package that would include a proven SP and seeing what Marte could do as a closer this year. But, in dealing for Koch, you now have a power closer and a power set up man..... assuming Marte wins the set up man job (which he should..... who else is there?). I'll take power and finesse (or vice versa) over power and power anyday..... changes things up. -

HOLY FUCKIN SHIT!!!!!!!! NEW COMISKEY RENOVATION PICS!!!!!
CubKilla replied to Cali's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The underside of the roof canopy has already been painted black. The HR porch in right WILL NOT happen this year cause JR couldn't get anyone to pay for it. The left field entrance likewise WILL NOT happen this year for the same reason. If you go by the park and take a quick look, the ped ramp in LF has already been painted gray and black..... JR wouldn't waste the money on paint if that ramp was going to be torn down anytime soon. -

I'm with you Baggs. This deal, to me at least, has all the ear-marks of the Ritchie trade. Like last year, everyone is telling me that we got the better end of this deal. And believe me, I took NO pleasure in telling Sox fans come July that I told you so. Given KW's track record, every trade he makes is a "wait and see" to me. RPS and Guido tried to sell me on Koch last night. I hope he's right and I hope I'm wrong..... for once -
Good point. Waving the "White Flag" really did us alot of good huh? Last I checked JR, still no WS ring.

I agree. These computer generated pics look much better than the sketches the site originally had. I know that everything that was white has already been painted black like these pics indicate. However, the only way this is going to happen is if JR finds someone willing to pay for it. You know JR isn't going to pay one thin dime out of his own pocket to fix the mess that he helped create. -
Ditto Baggio..... ditto. I was right last year when people were trying to convince me that the Ritchie trade was good for the Sox. Let's just say I hope I'm wrong on this one.
-
He's more wonderful than KW. And if things look messed up for the Dodgers now, Evans is probably planning something big along the lines of acquiring Thomas to play first. With KW, the messed up just stays that way
-
could be, could well be. I don't think Evans is as gosh darn wonderful as the KW detractors make him out to be. If we lose Frank, which would anger me a lot, I'd rather see him in the NL so we don't have to be reminded as often, or have Frank take it out on us. Don't the White Sox play the NL West teams in 2003? We might have to face Frank for at least 3 games

"Battery" followed by "Thoughtless" will put anyone in an ass kicking mood. (Note to self..... get RPS and Guido a clock for Xmas) -
Alot of people liked the toad Ritchie trade too last year buying KW's "veteran starter..... innings-eater" BS. We shall see.

There's something so not right about a poll where guys are asking other guys what type of drawers they wear :puke
