I think the first pic is a picnic area they have planned for CF overlooking the new batters-eye. The upper deck concourses will definitely look better with the addition of the steel and glass (I think this install has begun by the way..... the outside of the upper deck is wrapped in plastic sheeting). The last pic looks like a greening of the L and, probably, RF concourses on the lower level. The pic with, what appears to be carpeting, is probably more sprucing up for JR's friends and family who choose to purchase skyboxes. I like what they have planned..... but the old pics were MUCH better. These pics didn't even give me a hard-on for Opening Day 2003

I just don't like the fact that you changed your avatar because, according to the title of this thread, Heather didn't like it. That's like me asking her to change her avatar because I'm offended by oversized redbirds. The Britney avatar was in good taste..... there was nothing objectionable about it. Her music..... that's a different story. But she is definitely filet. I just hope you changed it because you wanted too and not because of what one person thought. I liked it actually

My guess is he'll get 3 year 15 million dollar deal. after koch gets a few months of KW under his belt do you really think he is going to sign an extension with us??? You are so right Baggs. KW needs to stick to GM'ing this team (while he still has the job) and leave the buffet-table-tossing and "b****"-calling to the team leaders. And if the "hall monitor" practices keep up, it won't be long until Maggs, Buehrle, PK, etc. have enough and demand a trade to a perennial contender.

Me and RPS are realists awesomefan . We're like the Randy Quaid character in Major League 2..... well, maybe me more so than RPS. But we both realize that where JR treads, not much in the way of playoff baseball is going to happen.

jiminez isnt a top prospect anymore...he is the one of the biggest question marks on this team Jiminez is the mad, dude! He is so ready to take over fulltime at second. Last year, in 27 games with us, he had a homerun, 11 RBIs, 22 runs, a .287 BA and a .384 OBP. Those are excellent numbers. He will definitely be starting at second next year unless he screws up horribly in ST and lets Hummel pass him up on the depth chart, which is not likely. 27 sept games doesnt make a guy the next coming of lou brock...jiminez could just as easily find himself demoted to charlotte as he could end up being "the mad" as you say...therefore it makes him a huge question mark...but lets hope you are right Baggs is quickly staking his claim, once again, to being the "voice of reason."

Holy s***....all praise JR! the article in the daily southtowne said one national league team made a serious offer for thomas..."inside sources " reported that last tuesday (i believe) thomas was in danny evans office...after that is when JR stepped in The fact that JR chose KW over Danny Evans, whether you like Danny Evans or not, is suspect. Danny Evans was groomed for the GM position by Schueler. KW showed great promise in acquiring HS and college talent. As GM, KW has done little to nothing in 3 years to justify his promotion over Evans. If anything, KW has weakened this team since then (IMHO). And still, JR allows him to GM the White Sox, a job in which KW is clearly over his head in. Makes you wonder what JR is thinking period..... not just when it comes to the Thomas thing. :mad:

I'm done getting excited. I was excited the last 2 seasons only to see the Sox trip on their dicks right out of the gate twice..... in April of 2001 and late May/June of 2002. And considering we haven't gotten jack s*** in the form of starting pitching..... what this team needs the most..... I'll get excited when there is something to get excited about. I'm not getting my hopes up like the last two seasons only to have my hopes stepped on and crushed.

nobody ever loses money in arbitration...ever...even styerling hitchcock got a raise after he had a era above 6...if we do offer ritchie arbirtation his agent would be smart to ak for like a 100k raise...ritchie would win that Ritchie asking for $1 more in salary this year after the season he had last year takes alot of balls. Why? From all indications, Lieber won't be ready to pitch until August and whether he will be able to pitch consistently by that time is still in question. The White Sox need a starter that will be ready to go on Opening Day..... not a starter who's impact will be limited and possibly too late.
