It is sad that after signing a free agent, the next move needs to be a trade for salary relief. If it is to improve the team, fine. If it is mostly because they need to lower payroll to accommodate the new salary, that sucks.

Make sure you remember it when I'm cheering for/complaining about Rocco in a gamethread next July.
