  1. I've heard this trade is powered by Testafin if that tells you anything.
  2. Sounds more like an ice fisherman....is he grindy enough?
  3. No, I'm thinking that'll be 2028. That's why I think Brantley is a possibility.
  4. Thats what I'm afraid of....another DH in the OF
  5. Oh, no chance they sign Benintendi imo. I just think Brantley is more affordable, but his defense is not desirable.
  6. Sure....right after the Holidays.
  7. Moreso than Benintendi.
  8. Don't count out Brantley, unfortunately.

Well maybe he doesn't have to die to make you happy....in this festive time of the year maybe we can hope for an Ebeneezer Scrooge like transformation. JR wakes up on Christmas morning, sends Rick Hahn the biggest turkey in the poulterer's window and tells him to sign whoever he wants...open checkbook. "Other owners laughed at the change in Jerry Reinsdorf, but he let them laugh and paid no mind. His own heart laughed because Soxtalk was happy."
  10. With the money being spent on SS in free agency, I do not see any way that the White Sox will sign TA after his deal is done so I understand talking about trading him if the return is good. However, who would we replace him with this season? This team is supposed to be trying to compete. Montgomery should be the future but that is what, 2 seasons away? Elvis was great for us last year but signing him and expecting him to repeat that seems to be foolhardy. Sure, listen to offers for everyone including Anderson but you better not pull off that trade unless you are getting back a nice haul imo. Tim has been the straw that stirs the drink of this offense. Look at what he did in that 2020 playoff series against Oakland. He did his job getting on base at a tremendous clip but the run producers did not do the job getting him in. We will miss him when he is gone.
  11. Smart man....and congratulations!!!
  12. Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys....but do let them grow up to be left handed pitchers.

This is a family site....please be careful what pics you post.

I just don't waste my time even thinking or hoping about this. Reinsdorf is an older man and with the stepped up basis tax rules that we currently have there is no way he sells the team. He will pass it to his heirs when he dies.
  15. If you sign them on Tuesday they are usually cheaper, but I guess Correa didn't have a Red Tag.
  16. Is it too late to bring back Mennechino??
  17. "I can neither confirm or deny that"
  18. My Dad had a boss who said "nobody, I mean nobody is worth $5 an hour!!!" But I guess there is inflation to take into account.
  19. He's Australian....people don't like to criticize foreigners.
  20. Another dumbass move not calling him up....
  21. Wait and wait and wait for White Sox news and get this...give that man a Pulitzer.
  22. With Mennechino gone, we need to be vigilant in keeping this thread bumped. Thank You.
