Harper is known to be a huge fan of Realmuto. I think the Philiies are locked in on Bryce. Sox need to get Machado done before Bryce declines their contract.

The Realmuto trade is about to go down. Phillies are paying a premium. It is a move that seemed like it would never happen. Hopefully this is a domino that falls and Machado and Harper are next. If Hector is right, he deserves the legend treatment lol

Hector has used phrases like “my source continues to maintain that the Sox will sign Machado”. It may be the same source saying that nothing has changed but I do believe he has checked back.

Nightengale basically says that he believes the Sox will get Machado. Says it could drag until March. He also said he was told that the Nationals offer to Harper is off the table and they have made it clear that they won’t go close to it. Might consider a 4/5 year 20 million dollar per year contract if Harper wanted to return.

Same here. He has no White Sox ties and the White Sox fan base isn’t one to pander too if you want a huge following. He could have easily said the Yankees are still in it and had hubdreds of twitter users praising him. At the very least, he believes what he is reporting.

Hector has quadrupled down that the White Sox have the best chances. I don’t see someone fairly new risking their reputation for nothing.
