  1. I could've handled that ground ball better than Tim right there, and thrown Mauer out in the process. Just wow.
  2. http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...ne-mark-buehrle "Deemed Double A's top hurler" Can't wait to see this guy in the rotation.
  3. Does it amaze anyone else that Minnesota was just absolutely awful last year (remember that long winless streak they had to start the season), and this year they have a wild card spot if playoffs were to start tomorrow, end of August. Just nuts how that works. Granted there still is a month left, but the Twins are almost always the small market underdog team in the league to make a push for the playoffs (although they never get very far)
  4. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Aug 29, 2017 -> 05:12 PM) The Twinkies are sure to lose their cream filling when they see that lineup card. 1-6, Not bad. 7-9, pretty horrendous.
  5. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Aug 29, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) This is exactly what they mean. Of course they're going to bring them up once they AT LEAST secure the extra year. I think what he (Hostler) meant was there's nothing Kopech can learn at AAA that he wouldn't be able to do at the ML level and get acclimated at the same time. I agree. Which then begs the question, if that does indeed happen, who are they signing for that 5th spot and for 2 weeks? They giving it to whoever impresses in the spring and then shoving them in the pen when Kopech comes up? Not gonna lie I'd love to see MiGo back for another year, but I suspect he will go to a contender.
  6. Game day showed the kzone...looked like Saladino took 2 fastballs pretty much down the middle to end the game.
  7. Kopech with another good outing. 5 innings 2 runs. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in MLB next year in September, or for a replacement for an injured starter
  8. What a piss poor at bat from Hanson. Looks at the ball right down the middle and pops up the pitch at his eyes.
  9. QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 25, 2017 -> 05:33 PM) They've been winning too any games. Put the hot players on the DL to stem the winning. Right....
  10. Its the same injury Matt Davidson had. Contusion. He'll be back first or second week of September. Doesn't give us much more time to see him this year though.
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 24, 2017 -> 11:00 PM) Have a night Burger, sweet baby jesus Did he hit for the cycle? I see in thr box score he hit a triple, double and a homerun and he was 5 for 5.
  12. QUOTE (Scoots @ Aug 24, 2017 -> 08:52 PM) Holland 3 scoreless...I predict the implosion to happen in the 5th, with warning signs showing in the 4th. Otherwise, great play by Timmy there in that inning to show off the arm. Hmm, maybe I'm wrong. Holland pretty solid so far actually.

  14. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 24, 2017 -> 08:43 PM) Yolmer homer time! A Yolmer homer!! Probably my favorite Benetti creation so far. Really the only one lol.
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 24, 2017 -> 06:08 PM) The Founder and Icarus on Netflix. Literally just watched the Founder. Really a great movie. I thought it was cool that they mentioned 2 cities I've lived in (Kenosha and Waukegan) and the one I currently live in (Grand Rapids). The McDonald's story is actually quite fascinating.
  16. 17. Polanco is gonna replace Brian Dozier as the Sox killer
  18. Very nice there. He's had a solid outing. The thing I like the most about it so far...no walks.
  19. The man with the era over 6 gets out of 2 straight innings with bases loaded, one with nobody out. Maybe he would be a good closer.
  20. Avi's pissed but those were both strikes
  21. Abreu can actually bust it down the line for his size that's pretty good
  22. Nice to see Yoan line a changeup into the gap
  23. Well, almost surprisingly, quite a nice and pleasant first 3 innings for Giolito.
  24. Some nice line drives on some sinkless sinkers
