  1. Does anyone know or have a link of where one might find the current contract statuses of the Sox players?
  2. This team may actually finish with a .500 record in April. Among the teams they face in April: 7 games against KC, 3 against Detroit, 3 against TB, and 3 against Oakland. All very beatable teams by this year's standards and certainly next year's (even if Oakland always beats us). I believe the Sox are actually better than KC and Detroit.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 04:10 PM) Every 3 years they will play the Cubs 6 times. It's when they play the NLC. Ah, did not know that. Better take advantage while I can I suppose. Thanks for that.
  4. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 02:21 PM) They would have played 2 3-game series 2 years ago as well. Maybe it was 2014...i just remember it was at Wrigley with my buddy who is a Cubs fan, and the Cubs sucked that year. I remember telling him that Gordan Beckham was the worst player on the team and such a huge disappointment, and he had a career game that night. It was awesome. My friend hates Gordan Beckham now hahaha.
  5. The team with 13 hits loses to the team with 4 hits. That's baseball i guess. All in all, this was a well played game. Just got screwed by the one hit in the first. Just too many walks, but by pitchers who don't have a future here. Little more concerned with our hitters not capitalizing.
  6. QUOTE (Tony @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 03:59 PM) Not an impressive display from Yoan and Jose. Also, don't like Davidson here for Nicky. Me neither. Especially with this pitcher. He has downward movement. Davidson likes to swing and miss at those disappearing pitches. Only hope here is for a mistake down the middle.
  7. This guy throwing all low pitches trying for the double play. Hope Jose is ready to golf it.
  8. Pick him up Jose
  9. Dang, Sox have 60 hits in 4 games. That is pretty damn good
  10. Yes!! Keep it going!
  11. Other than Abreu, Yolmer is the only one I want up here in this situation. Don't try to do too much here
  12. QUOTE (Tony @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 03:16 PM) Right side hit for Moncada! He has been having some solid contact from both sides of the plate the last few days. Very encouraging to see.
  13. QUOTE (Tony @ Sep 12, 2017 -> 02:31 PM) baseball is hard I heard that hitting a baseball with a bat is apparently the 2nd most difficult thing to do in all of sports....right behind driving a NASCAR racecar lol.
  14. Why do so many young hitters strikeout so much
  15. All you need here at the very least is a grounder to the right side or a medium deep fly ball.
  16. Rally time let's goo
  17. Finally. Glad they brought back the crosstown games on the weekends. I thought having 4 games Mon-Thu was stupid. Still not sure why they are doing it in May/Sept and not during June July or August. Just seems odd. But, now I can finally go to one after not being able to since 2013.
  18. Another fun game to watch. This team is very streaky. Love seeing Jose lead the way. He's got some hidden speed.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 11, 2017 -> 10:47 AM) I said it in a post in a different thread last week, but his defense has also stepped way back up. Anderson had 22 errors over 91 games in April through July. In the 35 games since he has a total of 4 errors. Very very encouraging to see. Good thing he can get a fresh start next year
  20. Even if it was just for one game, very refreshing to see. Moncada hit a homerun right handed!! And it wasn't a cheapy either. Anderson still showed signs of not being able to lay off sliders away but he did make real solid contact tonight for base hits. Yolmer is a keeper, he needs to be the starting 3B next year. Not only does he hit but he can do it from both sides and play tremendous defense. He has earned it. Shields has actually pitched decent in the last month or so. Never thought I would see that. Most of all, I loved seeing Jose smile with the team. The first couple years you just didn't see him smile, but this year, even though this has been their worst year record wise, he's been joyful. He's turning into a leader, which is what this club needs. I highly doubt he is anywhere else when this team starts to win in the 2020s.
  21. Like, the one game I dont watch this week, and they do this. Really, lol.
  22. Thoroughly enjoying a Brewers slaughter of the Cubs right now. And Brew Crew won yesterday as well. With a win today they will only be 3 games back of the Cubs. How hilarious would it be if the Cubs lost their division lead and didn't make the playoffs
  23. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Sep 8, 2017 -> 09:07 PM) Anderson and Moncada are huge disappointments. Ship them off while their value is still high. Sarcasm?
