  1. Can someone please explain to me, how did shields go from being one of the most dominant pitchers in the league with the Rays to John Danks? Did he get injured or something and just never fully returned to what he once was?
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 12, 2017 -> 11:17 AM) This game needs more ReyLo. Don't worry, ReyLo will be back in a few days for our viewing pleasure.
  3. Ya boy Shields is pitching tonight...might be a good game for the pro-tankers. I think if the Sox continue to hit, they can pull this one out of the hat. It definitely has been fun watching these young guys play, and seeing glimpses of the future. First pitch 6:10 Central. Enjoy!!!
  4. I sure do miss Melky, as much as he needed to be traded.
  5. I love it. Let's gooo ReyLOOOO!!!!! Helluva first inning for him. Nasty location on that fastball. Throwing has. Making Royals hitters look foolish.
  6. Should be a good one folks. Melky also making his first return to Chicago since being traded. First pitch 7:10 Central. What's Lopez' nickname going to be? ReyLo?
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 05:25 PM) I honestly don't see a way the white sox lose tonight. Enlighten me lol
  8. Well, here we are the Sox the worst team in the AL in August (record wise) looking to sweep the team with the best record. Things to look for regarding the young players: Another solid, if not dominant, start from Rodon Continued improvements from Moncada with making solid contact and developing his eye at the plate Continued success from Delmonico and Tim Anderson at the plate. I believe Tim has hit safely in his last 7 games or so. Delmonico has reached safely in every game since being called up and is hitting a respectable .400 (8 games). Game start 7:10 Central

WS with 5 errors on the night... yuck
  10. Boy is this fun to watch
  11. Apparently Jay Bruce from the Mets going to Cleveland...
  12. Yessir!!! There ya go Timmy! Taking the ball the other way. I love it
  13. Nicky is all of a sudden my favorite player haha
  14. Honestly, the positional players that are on the team now is probably the one you see starting 2018. Engel Anderson Abreu Avi Moncada Delmonico (DH) Davidson, Narvaez/Smith, Leury. Bench is Yolmer, Saly, Omar/Smith, outfielder (Tilson, Willy?) Not sure about yall, but I like that lineup for a team in its second rebuilding year (development phase). That lineup is at least predictable... Pitching is a whole other story and I expect to be horrendous. I see Eloy forcing his way to the majors before Sept. if he rakes at AA and AAA like he is at WS.
  15. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 09:49 PM) f*** that, should be Tilson's spot to lose if healthy! Next spring training is going to be very very interesting. Not just for starting spots on the roster, but I doubt there will be a game where there won't be a player playing that is projected to be impacting the future competitive Sox team.
  16. Lol that dropped popup hit by Engel got him a double...i guess no one touched it so you can't really give out an error, but not sure it warrants a double either.
  17. Timmy just shut me up haha...only took like 4 hanging sliders for him to finally hammer one but at least he got it!!
  18. Some solid pitching there from MiGo. When he is pitching well, he is a decent number 4 or 5 starter in a good rotation, a number 3 in an average one.
  19. Again, ugh. Being aggressive on the basepaths is not always the smart thing to do.
  20. QUOTE (Insp @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 09:01 PM) Who's worse, Omar or Timmy? At least Omar has an eye and takes bad pitches, works the count, and he not bad defensively at the toughest position to play (as evidenced by the framing of that strikeout borderline slider to Springer). If I had to choose between this year's Anderson and this year's Omar on a competitive team, I'm going Omar all the way.
  21. Anderson has such a long way to go
  22. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 9, 2017 -> 08:53 PM) By the time he's back rosters will have expanded. Ah. Good point, and good to know. Would like to see him get an extended opportunity. Meanwhile Timmy looking at 2 sliders right down the middle. Let's see what he does now.
  23. Will be sad to see Delmonico go when Davidson gets back. He's had some good at bats and is making great contact.
