  1. Who do you suppose that Cubs fan in the front row is rooting for?
  2. What a game
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 08:59 PM) Minus the walk. Forgot about that Judge walk
  4. Perfect thru 3
  5. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 08:29 PM) Giolito 64 pitches thru 5, which is good. 2 runs. Hopefully the 6th inning is clean. He seems to be progressing, slowly, but definitely better than the other way around. This is good, considering he will probably be a September call up and then, I'm assuming he will be on the starting roster next year, in the bullpen at the very least.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 10:28 PM) Definitely, I'd be more than ok if guys over-performed and we lost some draft position as a result. But to say draft position is meaningless is just plain stupid and shows a complete lack of reasoning. I don't think draft positioning is meaningless, but I do think it is way overhyped.
  7. This is the result of the team in the AL with the worst record. And also of a team in the first year of a rebuild. Get used it boys...although I do think this will be the most painful of it. Once the veterans leave, we will at least have the pleasure of seeing the youngns develop. The only thing that will make this whole thing just awful will be to see the farm players just tank. That would really just be awful and what I am most worried about lol.
  8. With Holmberg being a soft tossing lefty, you'd think Judge should destroy him. Location key here.

QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 05:51 PM) Austin Meadows, a guy Soxtalk wanted badly in trade rumors over the winter, just tore his hamstring and will miss a month or so. He's had a mediocre at best season in AAA and his stock has certainly slipped a bit. It has been a tough season for Pirates prospects as Glasnow has been a disaster, Meadows has under performed and is now injured, Newman has put up a .633 OPS in AA, Keller has been solid but also dealt with injuries... Goes to show that prospects are lottery tickets. Your comments sum up why I believe this whole people wanting the Sox to lose to get better draft positioning is stupid. Sorry if you're one of them, but some of the best players have come from very low rounds in the draft...look at Buehrle.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 06:15 PM) The way he runs a bullpen is mind boggling. If Robin was still here, the pitchforks would be out, but they aren't trying to win, so you might as well keep him around and hope with more talent his decisions make more sense. If not launch him then. At this point he is fine. I feel bad for Alen Hanson. His kids are going to be teased about their father being PH for by Kevan Smith. No manager is perfect, even ones that win world series'. Many fans have griped over the way Maddon ran his team in the world series, and even this season, and hes a top of the line manager, or considered to be. Ozzie had his share of haters too. Let Ricky manage. He's great for this team and fits perfectly with the Spanish speaking players. No one better to run this team in my opinion.
  11. QUOTE (Soha @ Jun 25, 2017 -> 04:34 PM) Kahnle comes through again Yah he should bring back a nice package from someone. I'd say get back one great player from Washington, a prospect, for Robertson and Kahnle. Not a bad deal at all.
  12. Jose needs to learn who's popup is whose. Yesterday he caught a popup that should've been Sanchez's, and that right there should've been Anderson's.
  13. Keep watching them 05 reruns boys lmao...its gonna be a loonnngg 2nd half. At least we will be able to watch Moncada.
  14. REALLY starting to feel like a rebuilding team now. Not only does the pitching absolutely reek, but the Sox aren't hitting pitchers who they should. You just get that feeling when they get a golden offensive opportunity that they aren't going to do anything...just like that inning there. I just hope they start to heat it up when I see my first game of the year against Texas next Saturday.
  15. Would be nice if Sheilds gave us a surprise and went 7 innings today to give that pen a rest...but he's got to keep those pitch counts down.
  16. I just feel like Rodon is going to be a complete disaster when he comes back up... I don't care if he is just trying to throw a lot of pitches...when you give up 7 earned runs over 4 and a third in AAA, you don't have any business in a MLB rotation. He's gonna be hard to watch, mostly in my opinion because of his inability to control his pitches
  17. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 23, 2017 -> 08:44 PM) lol, how the f*** did that ball drop? What was the CF doing? Does anyone know if the ceremony tomorrow will be aired, and if it will be, will it be available via mlb.tv?

Okay, I know there is already a Q thread out there somewhere, but this one is fresh and up to date. So, let's say Q restores his value and has a couple more outstanding starts. Considering the moves the Sox have made, with a future 3B/DH in Davidson/Burger, SS in Anderson, 2B in Moncada, 1B in Abreu (He isn't going anywhere), Catcher in Collins and loads of pitching prospects, their infield is pretty well set for the future. You could even throw Yolmer and Leury in there. You got Robert in Center and Avi in right, plus if you want to put Engel as a starting outfielder you could, too early to tell with him. Don't know what we have with Tilson either. With all that said, who are YOU trading for in Q? You can never have enough pitching in my opinion, so I say another pitcher and an outfielder who can hit, at least, maybe a catcher as well.
  19. Sox probably gonna be free swingers in the 8th. They wanna get on that plane and head home!!
  20. Wheres the Tim Anderson hate club? He has had a great game offensively and not bad defense. All comes with time some experience.
  21. Dude is gonna hit 40 by season's end, and he doesn't have a bad average either. Highest slugging percentage on the team, him and Avi have been the nicest surprises this season thus far.
  22. I literally called it in my living room, that Davidson homer lol
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 06:56 PM) Just a friendly reminder, but everyone should listen to the AJP podcast with Chuck this week. Truly awesome (and the futuresox one with the scouts was great too) Will do
  24. Might be a position player pitching kind of night for Minnesota if Sox keep this offense up and Q keeps the runs to a minimum.
  25. Nice to see the Sox come back and do this after 2 rough games. This starter reminds me of Holmberg last night...a lot of get me over pitches because can't locate for crap...our hitters seem to hit bad pitchers well, which is nice.
