  1. Lets continue this streak of no losses when leading in the 6th inning
  2. I bet Miley sucked at dodgeball in gym class
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 03:15 PM) Frazier, have yourself a game, son. Talk about stats normalizing in a hurry. Pretty fortunate with those last two slides into second by Avi and Todd. Yeah, the Frazier haters are hiding under rocks, waiting for his next screw-up. I love the guy. Also, Anderson needs someone to teach him a different approach. His at bats for me are so painful to watch. You can always count on 2 things with this team...Anderson is gonna take good pitches to hit and swing at breaking balls outside the zone, and Davidson is gonna swing through or under straight 4 steamers. Every single time, so predictable. And the opposing pitchers know it.
  4. Is Leury hurt? Saw on game day that Willy Garcia replaced him in Center to start the bottom of the 5th.
  5. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 08:56 AM) This will be the Sox 38th road game on the season. They have only played 23 at home. To me, that's nuts. If you think about it, if this were a playoff caliber team it would be nice. Get a decent start first half with most of your games on the road, then play the second half with the advantage to you with most games at home. Also, more fans at home becauae of the warmwr weathwr during the second half. But alas.... Anyway, Sox 20-0 when leading after 6 innings. Just need a lead guys!!!!
  6. Cleveland bullpen in...probs not scoring any more runs lol. Hold em Holmberg!!!
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 08:08 PM) Don't make first out at third though I mean I guess. Maybe Renteria was talking to him about that. Who knows. I still like the aggression. Also, I firmly believe Yolmer and Leury are going to end up being the best surprises to happen this season, possibly aside from Avi pulling off an awesome full season. Maybe they will surprisingly play prominent roles on our future teams in 2019 and 2020.
  8. And Renteria talking to Avi in the dugout about it...he is a leader.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 08:04 PM) Such an bad baserunning team. This is out of control Not sure that was bad baserunning there. Again, had to be a perfect throw, and like the announcers say, encourage the aggressiveness. Even though it's an out, it shows me this team wants to go the extra mile to give themselves the best chance at scoring.
  10. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 07:32 PM) Can't wait for Todd to leave after this year. I mean, he definitely hasn't met expectations hitting wise, but there is no doubt his leadership skills are present, which is very important. Also, I love the guy's personality. He Is starting to heat it up at the plate. Personally, he will be missed by me when he leaves, but I think he contributes a lot more to this club than people see on the field.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 07:48 PM) Wow is Melky slow Yeah...i really dont blame sending him though. Was gonna take a perfect relay to get him. Even so the scooped the ball one handed on a shorthop, had to be a perfect play to get him. Make them make the play. However, there is a difference between doing that and being silly on the basepaths (Frazier in the 1st...which is surprising when he actually has very good baserunning skills).
  12. Interesting hearing these guys talk about the Sox and praising Renteria and the dugout energy. Also, it is nice to see a couple hitters in our lineup with averages over .300 in both Garcia and Garcia!
  13. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 10, 2017 -> 07:31 PM) personally i don't think his problem is as much pitch recognition as inability to catch up to fastballs. Could be...
  14. That was stupid...killed the momentum there
  15. I know it is a small accomplishment...but nice to see Davidson watch a slider outside for a ball.
  16. Nice to be doing this on a nationationally televised game
  17. That was actually a good ab by Todd...Andrew Miller just Andrew Millerd him
  18. QUOTE (harkness @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 10:13 PM) Also what a terrible at bat by Avi... Also Abreu needs to start wearing guards... stands right on top of the plate with nothing - it's only a matter of time. I didn't even realize that...but they dont have knee guards do they? Only shin guards I thought...regardless. Also, nice 2 innings there by Jennings. Dominant actually. Wish our starters could do that.
  19. "Uhh yeah let's use our best pitcher and throw at their best hitter right in the dann knee." Screw that man. I know it was probably on accident but that's bs. I hope Avi destroys him
  20. That doesn't look good...make Miller Pay.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 09:49 PM) Wow Embarassing by Davidson It's like clockwork...you know he's gonna throw the slider. Davidson's atbats are annoying to me. I've seen more than a few times where you know he's getting a low 90s fastball down the middle, and you know he's looking for it, but he just swings right through it like someone blew him away with a 100 mph pitch. He has no pitch recognition capabilities. He's a right handed adam Dunn who can play 3rd. He might have a future...but he's got a few more years of work left before he can even be considered a decent bench player in my opinion. From what I've seen, he doesnt know how to adjust.
