  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 04:54 PM) Leave it to the Sox to finally start beating KC when we're not expected to compete. When are they ever expected to compete (by non-Sox fans)?
  2. QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 04:45 PM) Boyd/Fulmer/Zimmermann Thanks. Glad Verlander isn't scheduled. The sooner they get to Detroit's bullpen the better. I'm not really sure how to predict the series to be honest. If the Sox continue playing like they are, all 3 of those games might be real close. No one expected a KC sweep (still 4 outs to go), so who knows what will happebn, although Detroit can hit the baseball.
  3. Where in the world did Luery Garcia come from??? Would be really nice if the Sox can keep this up vs Detroit and take 1st place. Anyone know which Detroit starters are scheduled to pitch?
  4. I heard that ball hit all the way over here in Michigan
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 04:00 PM) Better score here or a ND for Q. Lol. It seriously is astounding
  6. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 26, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) That Hosmer slide was bliss. I did a slide exactly like that into 3rd base in high school. Oh man did I get it when I got back to the dug out.
  7. This is great. Hopefully the bullpen can continue to dominate. I'm liking these young guys. Leury Garcia with the 2 rbi tonight, we'll take it. Also love the encouragement from Rick when the guys come back in the dugout after scoring. That little positive recognition goes a long way. You can tell he cares a lot about these guys doing things the right way.
  8. Let's go Todd. You are a run producer. Time to produce.
  9. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 09:15 PM) I don't think he was trying to hit the leadoff guy this inning. True
  10. Deliberate? Maybe payback for hitting Cain.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 09:07 PM) Covey is just so bad. He wouldn't do well in AAA. Can't locate. We have been spoiled by great starting pitching though. Gonna be a bullpen game for us.
  12. Coveys lucky he is pitching against KC
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 08:50 PM) Why would you send him!?!? That's the 2nd time I've seen the runner sent and shouldn't have been...I miss McEwing at 3rd.
  14. Ump better give us that same strikezone.
  15. Benetti kind of sucks out the energy of nice plays by yelling like it's the last out of the world series every time the Sox do something well...idk just my opinion
  16. Kind of surprised Narvaez is in the lineup vs. the lefty and not Soto...is he hurt again maybe?
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 24, 2017 -> 10:26 PM) I wonder what Q is thinking about this run support (as usual). Honestlly, the kind of guy that A is, wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't even on his back burner. He's such a team player.
  18. I think the biggest hit in that inning was Frazier's double. I feel so bad for the guy. Coming off a nasty flu, seems like all he does is k or popup, then he comes through with a bases loaded full count and effectively seals the deal. That had to do wonders for his mental state up there at the plate. Keep bashing those KC pitchers...wear em out for the rest of the series. Miguel Gonzalez is pitching like the ace of the staff right now. He is one of if not the best pickup by Rick Hahn so far.
  19. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 24, 2017 -> 04:33 PM) Last year, the Royals were struggling some then got well just about every time they faced the White Sox. I suspect that will happen again this season. Look for Hosmer to finally bust loose and maybe Gordon (unless Gordon is finished which is possible). But I expect Hosmer to rake this series and well as Moustakas and Perez. In fact, look for tonight's game to be something like 9-1 KC. Again ... they get well when they play the White Sox. Try 9-1 Chicago lol
  20. Bunting with 2 strikes...risky but what's baseball without some risk taking amirite?
  21. I will always love Saladino, but he is looking more and more replaceable every day...and we have a nice looking replacement Charlotte. Also they better score here.
  22. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 24, 2017 -> 08:50 PM) He probably should start more, but he won't as it's still early in the season. They will stick to the platoon for awhile longer I mean, when a guy's hitting you let him play, especially on a team that can't hit. If he can't hit right-handed pitching then he shouldn't be on the team. He needs to play more against rhp, especially right now while he is seeing the ball well. I'd bet money Davidson hits the ball better against righties than Asche does. IMO, Davidson needs to be playing at least 5 days a week.
  23. Damn...tough luck Frazier. Would've been nice to jump on this guy early.
