Wow. It feels like too long.

The same, I said as much above. They are winning in spite of him. That won’t always be the case. Over the course of a 162 game season Ricky won’t look so pretty, just as he hasn’t over his past 10 years managing in the big leagues or whatever it is. Youre arguing that things are fine RIGHT NOW, which nobody disagrees with.
-
This makes no sense at all. Its burying your head in the sand because things are going well, ignoring the fact that our manager is making awful decisions along the way. Yes, the guys are playing well IN SPITE of bone headed decisions from the manager. There is no "statistical evidence" of anything there. Cease has been incredibly lucky this year. So have many other pitchers in the bullpen. What you're saying is to ignore all of this because things have been going right over the past 30 or so games. Mind boggling.

No, I just have strong feelings about him.

Fine, then Ricky is.

How many 2 run leads have the Sox blown in the top of the 9th this year? Any? Add that into the cake too... The chance that Eloy's bat in the bottom of the 9th would be needed is so unlikely. The chance that Eloy commits a fuckup in the top of the inning in LF? Probable.

Worst manager in Sox history.. other than Ventura.
-
How many homers has Eloy hit in the bottom of the 9th inning in games where he might otherwise have been subbed out for defense is the correct question, actually. Those games would actually have to go to the bottom of the 9th too...
-
Nobody's asking that Dyson start over Eloy. Just that he be used as a defensive replacement in the 9th inning of a game where the Sox are up two runs. The comparison is invalid.

Chances for Subway (Crosstown) White Sox/Cubs series this year
Green Line replied to tray's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The downside is too great, even though I'd love to beat the Cubs in a World Series. I don't think I could ever live down the Sox losing one to them... Would rather not risk it. -
Stone is 100% correct here. Renteria has been given a massive gift in this talented team. They win in spite of his bone headed lineups and bullpen choices. With that said, there is no way in hell the White Sox, of all teams, are going to fire their manager after a hugely successful season. The chances of Ricky winning the megamillions is higher than the chance that Jerry fires him. Stone had best hold his fire until next season.

I’m sure they’ll put an asterisk next to the sox division championship for the poor Twinkies.

Go on their reddit page.

Twins fans have been talking for the last 24 hours about how the white sox can’t beat good teams.. Guess they’re not as good as they think.

We have the best record in the AL bro...
-
Cease is doing decent omg.

When Cease starts getting lit up regularly, I'll start worrying. I'd rather live in ignorant bliss until that time. Hopefully that time is not tonight.

Meatball

Im sure the family would rather be watching him pitch right now. Why didn’t they do this in the bottom half of the inning?

We get a break, yes!

Ballgame...? Really? Tad bit dramatic, geez. This team has been playing great for two weeks now. At least give them the benefit of the doubt.
