  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 23, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) I'm just curious if there's anyone here who would go to Las Vegas/Macau/Atlantic City with the tonight's current odds for making the playoffs and place a $10,000 bet on the White Sox and Ventura? Considering how Ventura tends to concede 2 run games in the 7th inning, I know he wouldn't place that bet!
  2. Hmm lets see. His first year he managed the sox to an epic collapse in the final week of the season, and then followed that up with 3 consecutive non-competitive losing seasons. His teams have wilted in every pressure moment for his entire managerial career. I know he won't be fired though, absolutely no way. If they didn't fire him going into this year they're not gonna do it while the sox are in the hunt. My biggest fear is that we sneak into the playoffs and that gives managment all the excuse they need to extend him, because Im sure that's what Jerry would love to do.
  3. May has just been so dissapointing. These guys had a real chance to take control of this division and they've pissed it away. Have to lay the blame on the manager.
  4. Robin seems to be obsessed with "saving the bullpen" to the detriment of the rest of the team most games. What is he saving them for exactly?
  5. We've been getting a lot of 2 out hits this game! Sidenote: I've been at a couple games recently and have seen a HUGE amount of Cubs gear. Almost like being at a Cubs game.
  6. Well, Johnson had a nice 1.1 innings! Can't ask for more than that.
  7. STILL no CSN for me. This is ridiculous. Has there been any acknowledgment on twitter or anything that they're fixing the problem?
  8. Thank god. Lets get the sweep!
  9. Phew. Ok. Deep breath. We are still the FIRST PLACE Chicago White Sox and we have the best pitcher in baseball. Lets win 2/3 against the f****** Royals.
  10. DO NOT TAKE HIM OUT ROBIN
  11. Oh, we're only down 1 run? I read the comments on here and assumed it was 10-0. Come on offense!
  12. QUOTE (Scoots @ May 15, 2016 -> 03:44 PM) This is really embarassing How so? You've already said this a couple of times.
  13. QUOTE (StrykerSox @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:51 PM) Look at those f***s doing the wave. Yankee fans are asshats. Both Sox games I've been to this year the entire stadium was doing the wave. I just had to smh.
  14. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) Rested bullpen and the worst arm in the pen gets the nod because he's a lefty.unreal.paid off Robin He is not the worst arm in the pen and he's been pretty good this year for the most part.
  15. Everyone in the bullpen has been blowing it this week. Who are we supposed to pitch?
  16. I'll take that kind of a start from our 5 spot.
  17. Shocked this ump didnt call that a strike.
  18. As frustrating as this week has been, we haven't lost any ground in the division. If this is one of our worse weeks I will take it. Looking forward to a nice homestand, and a win today.
  19. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ May 13, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) You are exactly correct about Harry Caray. And if our inept owner had left well enough alone back in 1981 when he had the ultimate package of Harry Caray AND WGN together, we wouldn't be talking about attendance problems today. The inimitable Caray was well on his way to selling the White Sox experience to a national audience on 'GN back in '81 the same way he would eventually do with the Cubs a few years later, which garnered them the national popularity that they enjoy to this very day. There has been nary an empty seat in Wrigley Field in over 30 years now, and that's primarily due to the effect of Caray on 'GN selling the Cubs back in the 80s. Could of/should of been us, folks. It's that simple. Letting Caray go over petty reasons was a mistake of the highest consequence on the part of Reinsdorf & Co. that will characterize, among many other things, a failed legacy as owner of our Sox. And yet that failed owner has a World Series title in that time frame. How much success have your vaunted Harry Caray led Cubs have? I'll take Reinsdorf.
  20. QUOTE (ronkark @ May 11, 2016 -> 04:00 PM) And as Avi and AJax stare at strike 3 we slowly fade out. On to NY with a day to rest the pen, Todd to heal and get back to playing the way we were before this series. Going in, I thought we'd win 1/3 but having blown leads three times in EACH of the past two games is brutal. That's gotta be rectified. Baseball games are 9 innings.
  21. Thinking 5 runs isn't going to cut it today. Hope i'm wrong!
  22. Looks like the 2013-2015 Sox out there.
  23. Leave Holland in for a couple more innings, save your bullpen Texas!
