But seriously, all. Happy holidays. I know that I'll be enjoying my month off of school. And oh yeah, if you guys would do me a holiday favor and check out http://www.impeach-bush-now.org (it's a national campaign started by a professor and some friends of mine @ school)

  3. Would that be the Bills/Oilers game when the Oilers were winning by a s***load and the Bills came back and beat them with like a last second FG from Christie to win the game barely?
  4. I just wanted to see what everybody thought about the comments of Trent Lott @ Strom Thurmond's birthday party. Wow, Trent is such a great Senate majority leader. That racist f***. I sat and read his apologies. His initial apology did not say that racism was wrong! He just said it was a discarded theory, he never stated it was wrong. I am not saying that he can't be a racist if he wants to be, but should he really be our Senate Majority leader?

  6. I think CFS would really mind if ShamMe_SoSo decided to show up again Since he got banned for putting 2 and 1/2 pages worth of truth on the Cubbie Bunker boards. I'd love to go and get ShamME to come w/ me but I don't think CFS likes us.
  7. Hehehe, thanx. A friend of mine from Student Peace Action found that on a web site and sent it to me for s***s and giggles.
  8. I am against the bombing in Iraq. Read the lyrics. They are meant to be sarcastic especially some of the stanzas in the song, hehe.
  9. oz? Oz f***ing rocks! f***ing great goddamn show! Although, my favorite HBO show of all time is still and always will be Mr. Show with Bob and David

  11. But she has boobs. The size of your head. Doub, you can feign drunkenness. You can claim that coffee and a dose of fresh air magically makes you sober in minutes. But, now, you're officially a dumbass. Yes, Britney's breasts are large. Your point? She's still a no talent "artist" that can't sing her way out of a wet paper bag. Sorry, I just A) can't stand Britney Spears, B) hate the fact that girls like Britney Spears become the role models for women all over and that guys get conditioned to believe only girls like Britney are the only ones worth dating. Makes me :puke Marginalizing people to body parts is sickening and inhuman. Be it female or male.
  12. Do you want a cookie? Also, **personal opinion following** Britney Spears is a no-talent asshat that just uses her body to f***ing sell records. All her songs are about the same topic (yes, my relatives listen to it, so from time to time I have to endure the audio cyanide that is Britney Spears.) Who actually thinks she is a talented musical artist? She's the kind of person that the Dead Kennedys song "Pull My Strings" is all about. She goes out and uses her body to appeal to the most base impulses, which is sickening. **end opinionated rant** But seriously, I'm all for allowing avatars that fit the current rules that Jason and them set up (i.e. no porn, etc.) I may not approve of it, but I am not gonna be a fascist suppressive sumb**** and censor what I don't approve of. The freedom of speech is a wonderful thing.
  13. Me too. I love a good debate and it is possible to do it without all the vicious insults. I also understand that when you are young you think you "know" everything. I've tried to make my points without raking the college kids over the coals. The lack of historical knowledge is depressing as hell, one of the reasons I decided not to try to teach after getting a degree and certificate as an adult. I said it before in another thread, this generation of American kids is the most sloppily and badly educated in the history of the nation. Before I get slammed for saying this, I know from where I speak, lots of educational professionals will tell you the same thing and it is NOT the kids fault. Besides, if you want to do anything right you often have to do it yourself. I agree. The educational system in the US blows major league hardcore ass. In grade school I was taught that Columbus was a wonderful, benevolent man who helped the Natives he found. Then, I read some of his memoirs and the guy was an absolute asshole to these people! Massacres, his blatant ethnocentrism, killing, exploiting... If the textbooks and the educational system stopped painting the melodramatic picture of everything and stopped making it look like all our historical figures were perfect men, maybe kids would have a better zest for wanting to learn history. I know it was until I started reading OUTSIDE of the textbook that I really got interested in history. As it stands, I am going for a major in history with my minor being secondary education. f***, there was recently a CNN article that showed over 50% of kids do not know where Afghanistan or Iraq are on a map...and get this...12% don't know where Canada is! How f***ed are we as a culture that our news is about celebrity shoplifting, the end of a TV show, the newest reality dumbf*** show out there instead of the real pressing social issues of our time? I have been told by my relatives and others whom I have asked about the graphic coverage of the Vietnam "police action" and they said that the media wasn't really afraid to tackle issues like that. Now our media kisses so much ass, it's not even funny. We pay teachers incredibly low salaries, for the most part parents don't help in the discipline dept (i.e. everything that happens in the school can't be their kid's fault...the teacher must be targeting them for misbehavior), et al. and we wonder why our teaching system is so s***ty? With the swill we make our children swallow about blind patriotism to a bunch of dead perfect men they can't even grasp a feeling for...we're asking for kids to not give a s*** about school, especially history!
  14. I've had the absolute s***tiest evening, so I may be a bit overboard on the bitterness.
  15. Congress hasn't declared war. So, we are not in a "war". Also, thanks for the thinly veiled insult at me that I can't be coherent. Very appreciated. Thanks for insulting me in a veil of "I'm not out to bash the lefties." What sucks is that by voicing my dissent of such things as the USA Patriot Law, I get told that I support Hitler. Quick question: How much of 9-11 do you think had to do with US foreign policy to the Mid East? I'd just like to ask.
  16. Political debate aside, did anybody actually READ the cartoons?
  17. Thank you Baggs. I never said I was a Democrat. Personally, I think the Reps and Dems are all corporate whores looking out for the big businesses that line their pockets and grease all the appropriate orifices. We are becoming more of an Orwellian state. Being told that we are "either with the US or the terrorists" is not a fair statement by our Attorney General. We have been given Constitutional rights, and it is in the matter of any case that everybody needs to rise up and tell these f***ers that they can't rape any of us of our civil liberties. I recently had my car vandalized after I had "Don't Ivade Iraq" National Peace Action posters up in my car. I am not completely oblivious to the good that the US has, I am quite the American. But I can see this country becoming a better place for all. Banned books and banned music have been the influence, greatly, of the Christian right (i.e. Jerry Falwell, et al.) The Tipper PMRC stickers, Tipper is a conservative b**** with her head up her ass parading as a "liberal Democrat" I love the fact that I can vote for my leaders in this country, I love that I have freedom of speech and that there is the ability to be constructively critical of my government if I do not approve of what is done in my name. Blind approval of the Bush regime's raping of our civil liberties is unAmerican. Democracy is not a f***ing spectator sport. People need to get involved in it. Yes, Osama and Al Qaeda are an evil group. I doubt that more bombs and murder of Afghani and Iraqi people are going to alleviate that problem. Treating people inhumanely is not going to solve that problem. If we enact a social policy of diplomacy we could make Osama the hated of the world economy instead of Dubya being one of the most hated me in the world community by wanting a pre-emptive strike on Iraq. Our meddling in the Mid East w/ violence has just spurred more and more violence. Before we can approve of the Bush regime, we need to ask a few critical questions. America was founded on dissent. Why are we being told that to dissent is being a terrorist now?
  18. By the way, CK, you and NUKE like to say that Americans didn't want liberalism. Please tell me then why more people voted for Gore than Bush. K Thanx.
  19. CubKilla, perhaps you haven't read the information about Katherine Harris and the vote fixing in Florida. Denying African American legal voters from voting because they were "suspected felons" which wasn't the case. How about getting a bit informed?
  20. I'd be behind our "President" if he really won the election. I'd be behind our President if he wasn't sending our American troops off to fight for oil in the Middle East. I'd be behind our President if he and Ashcroft would not ask for Draconian laws like the "Patriot Act" to be passed so as to not make great strides to an Orwellian 1984 state. I'd be behind our President if he'd actively go after Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, not random peaceful middle eastern people who have nothing to do with terrorism. I'd be behind our President if he'd allow the weapons inspectors to work instead of trying to find every last excuse to drop bombs in Iraq. Dropping bombs and fighting in the Mid East has happened for years...what has it gotten us? More hatred from the Middle Eastern people. Wow, how productive. I'd be behind our President if he wasn't supported as a Christian right hardliner. I'd be behind our President if he gave a good goddamn about American civil liberties. I'd be behind our President if he guaranteed health care to all so we wouldn't have to deal with f***ing HMO's. I'd support our President if he asked for the UN sanctions against Iraq to be lifted because they are not effecting him. He lives in luxury, his people die. They are not effective. Our "President" is good friends with corporations and not the people. When our President has something worth supporting, I'll be supportive.
  21. I am an American patriot. Lest we forget, our country was founded on questioning authority. Also, there was an amendment to our Constitution guaranteeing the right to free speech so people can say pretty much whatever the f*** they please. Have you read the USA Patriot Act? It calls for: -attorney/client priv. can be bugged by the US gov't if the client is deemed to possbily be a "terrorist" -holding people for months as "material witnesses" w/out charging them of any crime nor letting them have communication w/ their family -suspending the need for warrants to search people's houses and belongings if there is a possibility that the person might be a "terrorist" I find it scary that to fight the "War on Terrorism" we are destroying the democracy which was attacked on 9/11 by getting rid of our essential Constitutional freedoms. We can have BOTH safety and civil liberties, and not have to sacrifice our Constitutional civil liberties to "gain safety". To quote American patriot Ben Franklin "Those of us who would give up essential freedom in favor of temporary safety neither deserve freedom nor safety."
  22. Hey Nuke, be safe. I may not agree with you politically, but f***, I got a microphone now so we can have talks without me typing. So your ass better get back for that, motherf***er!!
  23. LINK! Get Your War On! f***ing hysterical s***! It even involves Voltron!!!!
  24. wtf bernie mac, malcom in the middle, king of the hill, futurama, those aren't stupid shows. maybe if you want more quality programming you should pitch them a show about osh kosh billy koch and all the hilarity that ensues. Futurama isn't that good...the Simpsons is much better. Malcolm can be pretty decent at most times, but it never tops Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law.
