But, I think that we could get international support by actually lifting some sanctions in Iraq (there are sanctions not allowing dolls, for instance, in Iraq...WTF does Saddam care about dolls?) I've seen pictures taken of civilians in Iraq that have been f***ed over because of these sanctions...and the people who took these pictures with Voices in the Wilderness said that Saddam's food distrobution program was the best they had seen. It is the UN sanctions that are raping the Iraqi civilians. That is terrorism. If we stopped being the world mafia and had more peaceful means, the bin Ladens and such would lose a helluva lot of their support base because they wouldn't have such a legit cause to hate us. Ever think of that? Also, the death penalty since it's inception has not been a deterrant to crime. Before gangbangers too, CubKilla. Also, if you're worried about your tax dollars being wasted it takes much more money to kill people via the state than pay for life in prison. (just look at the prices) And the possibility of innocent people being on death row? In IL alone, there have been numerous exonerations via DNA evidence...these innocent people would have been killed. In my eyes, if a person committed a horrid crime, I think that having to spend the rest of their lives in an 8 x 10 cell for 23 hours a day is a much worse punishment than a needle in the arm. To waste time away in a prison cell is not only more humane but it seems a more fitting and cheaper punishment having to deal with their thoughts for 23 hrs per day for years.

The criminal justice system in this country is a joke. If the courts had clue one on how to deal with Ligue (the father) he'd have been in jail for all his previous offenses. University of Illinois Fighting Illini is my college alma mater. It's a glorified party school. Most everybody here is a huge partier and for some reason we have the reputation that we are a hugely intellectual school. Yeah, the thought has crossed my mind to go confront my professor especially cuz I told him that globalism sucks and I keep bringing up issues that don't jive with his stance so he really doesn't like me at all, haha. Capitalism is not terrible in that aspect that there is an ability for social movement upwards in the social structure. The problem inherant to capitalism is that corporations like Wal-Mart are able to come in and because they have lower marginal costs so they can produce more, they are able to reduce price enough to make huge profits while at the same time destroying all their competition. When massive amounts of capital get mobilized in a few hands, we have oligarchy and sooner or later, the possibility of cartels. When we have 8% of the world population in the US and own 40% of the world wealth, I do believe that is a maldistrobution of wealth while other countries are in such debt to the WTO and IMF because of the high interest rates demanded that they can't do anything. Capitalism is a good system in theory, but too often it is able to feed the greed and put the money in the hands of a few due to the exploitation of others. NAFTA, GATT, etc. promoting free trade agreements are only beneficial to the US and our spheres of influence. Capitalism has been hijacked by ruthless, greedy f***s that exploit any person or anything in the environment for the means of more profits. Isn't there a conscience in every person where we value the lives of other human beings over monetary greed? Maybe that's just me.

Well, I have to deal with this man for multiple classes plus take his examinations. But I can't listening to the man because he has his head way up his ass and basically talks about pistol whipping and his brother's hat factory instead of actual topical stuff that will be on exams. Well, Murcie, outside of kidnapping him and dumping him off in a drainage ditch what can I do?
