  1. Yeah shifting against right handed dead pull hitters is dumb….wait what?
  2. Anderson was positioned well, TLR is allergic to play his second baseman to pull
  3. Just infuriating to give away outs by not shifting. But that’s just beating a dead horse at this point
  4. Damn I thought that was way gone
  5. The compariosn to Santana is not really a fair one since Santana has never been a high K-guy. Bryce Harper whiffs more than Grandal to name another high walk/high strikeout guy.
  6. Nope, just swinging and missing. Grandal misses less on strikes in the zone than Anderson.
  7. You said thtat if Grandal wasn’t walking he would be striking out as much as your average pitcher. But, even if you ignore the walks he is swinging and missing and striking out less than other players. But whatever, Grandal is not among the top 10 of this team‘s problems.
  8. Whiff percentage is not influenced by the outcome of the at bat. Just by the percentage of the batter swinging and missing, Regardless, Grandl not chasing pitches is now supposed to work against him? Strange logic.
  9. Grandk‘s whiff percentage is lower than Abreu‘s and right there with Anderson‘s and Moncada‘s. I don’t know why this is so hard to accept.
  10. Nope, contact-percentage better than Abreu‘s. And I wasn’t talking about the total number of strikeouts, but rather his K-rate. Grandal is having rotten batted ball luck, I don’t know why this is so hard to admit.
  11. Abreu, Anderson and Moncada strike out more than him
  12. That doesn’t make sense. Hitting the ball hard is the only thing a batter can control- If you want to see the batted ball profile of a guy slwoing down because of his age, check out Miggy‘s baseballsavant üage.
  13. His K-rate is right in line with his career averages. He is among the games best in exit velocity and hard hit rate.
  14. Flashbacks of the 2010 Jim Thome “base-clogging“ argument. Grandal is having a quality offensive season with a historically low BABIP.
  15. Let’s hope Tony doesn’t forget which team he is managing
  16. The Sox made McCann a ton of money by playing him in favorable matchups.
  17. Imstill fail to see what there is to be gained from drawing conclusions about postseason matchups based on a series. Baseball has so much variance that this a futile endeavor.
  18. Grandal is still an above average hitter with a historically low BABIP, Hendriks has a 2.5xFIP. Abysmal failures LOl. Grandal and Hendriks are not the buggest probkem on this team. They won’t probably make top 10.
  19. That was Hendriks‘ 2nd walk all season
  20. When the Sox went to Boston they won like 10 in a row. Judging individual series is pretty silly anyway. Remember when the 100 loss White Sox took three out of four from the WS winning Astros?
  21. After not challenging the Vaughn triple play, I doubt Tony is even aware of the ability to challenge
  22. Yankee Stadium bonus. I hate playing there, you know going in there that you will get screwed over
  23. That strike one call against Yermin was horrendous.
