TLR 2022 Thread
While yesterday’s blunder was rightfully scrutinized, what tends to be forgotten is how terrible Tony is every single fucking day. His refusal to shift is probably even worse than his batshit insane lineup construction.
-
I truly think Jerry will make TLR step down after yesterday
The only thing that will lead to a new manager this year is TLR or Jerry dying or having some catastrophic health issue. While I take baseball seriously, hoping for that is a bridge too far. Resign yourself to that fact and try to laugh it off.

I heard Leury makes a really good Tom Collins, invaluable in Tony‘s clubhouse

Yeah, they had the division wrapped up essentially before the all star break because these two teams had bad years. You are such a clown.

Don’t hate the player, hate the manager and whoever offered him this ludicrous contract

GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
Leury will find himself in a big spot one more time in this game and Andrew Vaughn will not be pinch hitting and you all know it

GT 6-4: Dodgers @ Sox (7:10pm)
Juan Soto‘s OBP last year was better than Leury‘s OPS this year. That’s a special case of awfulness

Pollock has been an excellent player when healthy, I will still defend that move. The other two not so much

I feel bad for him in a way, I also would have signed that ridiculous contract TLR, Hahn or whoever is in charge in this dysfunctional mess, offered to me.

I‘m still the only one on the Danny Mendick bandwagon dude is probably one of the best 2B in baseball defensively.. when Harrison was signed I posted I‘d rather let Danny play than settling for a washed Harrison.

He was slightly below average offensively in a “season“ with 200 ABs,. Got him!

2021 Moncada is a great player to have on your tem, I would be fine if that guy decides to show up
-
6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
Leury would have had trouble beating out Harrison‘s deal on the open market, guaranteeing him three years was pure lunacy.
-
6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
Moncada misses two meatballs and strikes out on a shoulder high pitch, dude‘s swing is broken
-
6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
I thought pinch htting was illegal in 2022? Do we have to forfeit this game now?
-

Ricky made some stupid moves, but you always knew they would try to rally even 7 runs down. Miss that guy
-
6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
I don’t believe that happens deliberately, but rather you are in a situation where you just can’t unlock that extra 10% because you have to deal with a clueless supervisor. I think almost everyone has made that experience.

6/4/22 Sox @ Rays, 3:10 pm
He had already retired by then IIRC.

Yeah and this is not about needing a rah rah guy or something. This is about not having to deal with your boss‘ bullshit every day.
