The white sox have never made comments alluding to something like that, but the Phillies did when they said they were going to spend stupid money. That essentially alluded to their fans that they would land one of the big fish. I agree that expectations of aggressiveness weren't downplayed, but Hahn specifically said that just because they're aggressive didn't mean they would land one

RaBBit said that the Phillies being out and the white sox with the only substantial offer on the table (it seems), if Bryce was going to sign he already would've. Outside of the Phillies, nobody else can match the offer the white sox can-and presumably- have put out. And teams are much more careful these days about bidding against themselves I hope you're right but I just dont think you will be unfortunately

That group of outfielders is a little bit above average imo, the only guys above 4 WAR is Bellinger and Taylor. And I think RaBBit was right when he said this probably wasn't going to come down to money and it will more or less be about who they want to play for. If Harper was going to sign with the sox I think it already would've been done
