  1. Agreed. Don't trade him for scraps but if you get something interesting you do it.
  2. It's such a weird take for me. When does the age stop? There are lots of good MLB players that came in to the game 26+
  3. 1. Anderson 2. Moncada 3. Abreu 4. Encarnacion 5. Grandal 6. Eloy 7. Mazara 8. Robert 9. Mendick
  4. I agree he won't bring much back at all. But I also don't think McCann is some guy we need to keep. I am fine with either way.
  5. Agree with this. I hope IF we traded him we grab a RP or just a young prospect
  6. Collins is 25 without a defensive position. I don't see a large gap there.
  7. I don't care about spring stats... unless you go 0-50 then that clearly leads to some red flags we shall agree to disagree!
  8. You're my favorite poster now, just because you give updates LOL
  9. I wonder if he would be enticed at all with a Freddy Peralta type extension. 5 years for 15 + 2 option years at 10 million.. If I were Cease, I'd pass on something like that too
  10. To be fair.. If he really went 0-50 in ST, we should all have a mild heart attack lol
  11. Luis Robert, CF Michael Kopech Andrew Vaughn Nick Madrigal, 2B Dane Dunning Jonathan Stiever, RHP Matthew Thompson, RHP Andrew Dalquist, RHP Micker Adolfo, RF Jimmy Lambert, RHP Blake Rutherford Luis Basabe Yermin Mercedes Zack Collins Norge Vera (FUN!) Gavin Sheets Luis Gonzalez Ian Hamilton, RHP Tyler Johnson, RHP Danny Mendick Bernardo Flores Benyamin Bailey, OF Zack Burdi Konnor Pilkington, LHP Luis Gonzalez, CF Codi Heuer, RHP Yolbert Sanchez DJ Gladney James Beard, CF Jake Burger (just gotta if he ever plays again lol) I am the high man on Yermin and the low man on Collins. I think they are the same profile (DH/1B) and I strongly prefer Yermin's bat.
  12. I think he is saying you can't just throw out random names as examples of players who couldn't produce at the MLB because we could just as easily do the opposite.. AKA provide names of former minor leaguers who put up big numbers and continued to in the MLB, specifically non-major prospects (Like Yermin). I am with him, stating bad MLB players who had a good year or two in the minors is not the same.
  13. This is a good post... But the thing you're leaving out is that Yermin didn't just do this in AAA... He's done it at EVERY SINGLE LEVEL he has ever played at.. So I think the "just looking at AAA stats" is just wrong.
  14. I get it. I am someone who believes you cannot teach effort. Because of that I don't think you can "unteach" effort in a way. I still play sports and I just naturally play balls to the wall. I just don't think it's in some peoples blood no matter the stage (ST or world series). But yes, I am with you, let's not get hurt in ST.
