I'd argue it did not turn out great for the White Sox for Garrett Crochet. We backed ourselves into a corner and had to trade him because he only had 2 years left BECAUSE we threw him into the bullpen (and left him there).

Yes, at least out of the bullpen. I really like getting Hicks IF we move him to the bullpen. Maybe he can regain some of his old luster prior to the trade deadline and we can trade his contract and pickup a mid-level prospect.

I missed the PTBNL parts

I like taking the Hicks risk IF we are using him out of the bullpen… I don’t care for the prospect we got back, or the one we are giving though..

Had it gone through, would you have liked it? Sounds essentially like taking on Hicks’ contract and upgrading a SP prospect in the process.

I'd love to use Baldwin as a super utility and get him 400+ at bats and see what he does. Let him play 5 days a week all over.
