I f*cking hate James Shields

I don't hate him, but he is one, over the hill pitcher it seems. Baseball is committed to paying guys like Shields big bucks for some reason. Anybody could have had his line today. Any minor leaguer could have done just as badly. But after his Royals days were over, SD had to pay him a massive salary. Baseball is just throwing away money. Whatever.

Very sad he wasn't traded before the trade deadline. He'd had a couple decent outings. maybe somebody would have taken him for a couple low level non prospects.

Greg, you just proved that you are smarter than Hahn.

Hahn hasn't done himself any favors but I do genuinely believe his hands are tied.

I don't see the problem. One of the reasons the Sox wanted Shields was to help ease the stress on the pen. Thanks to Shields the pen was saved exactly 1.1 innings on Sunday. Some lucky reliever got the day off thanks to Shields.

Some fans are just impossible to please.

Totally thread worthy.
