Well I can't say the Sox season hasn't been a nightmare.

I read that article ... and I can't disagree with them. In this case, the Trib is just reporting the facts.

How ironic, every1 thinks this could have been our year, and now we get to watch our cross town rivals in da playoffs. Just devastating.

I just don't bother myself with what That Other Chicago Team is doing.

They are the San Diego Padres or Toronto Blue Jays to me. Just another MLB team I don't watch.

I understand the frustration with the uneven nature of the media attention, but I just don't give it that much thought. Jay Hysteriotti and his ilk are just buffoons who write the easiest possible thing they can and occasionally the facts happen to back their retarded opinions up.

There's enough to be frustrated about with the Sox season, I don't need to anger myself over a team I care ZERO about.

All it takes is for the Cubs to miss the playoffs by one game. Then the 4 out of 6 the Sox took from them will definitely cushion the blow a bit from the dissappointing finish.

They ain't in the playoffs yet. I hope the ex-Sox factor on Friday and Sunday haunts the Cubs for 6 months until ST starts. Prior pitches on Saturday. Fogg and K Wells on Friday and Sunday respectively.

if the Cubs make the playoffs, we can all just wait for another Leon Durham (1984) or Will Clark (1989) moment.

It will come.
