February 23, 20179 yr I'm looking to replace at least one owner (maybe a few more) in the Soxtalk Legends Keeper League. We use ESPN to set the lineups etc., but use this site for the draft and other essentials http://soxfantasybaseball.proboards.com

February 24, 20179 yr QUOTE (Moncada @ Feb 24, 2017 -> 04:10 PM) That's a pretty stacked offense but a little to be desired on the pitching. Yeah I won the league last year. My focus on the draft is obviously to improve my starting pitching.
February 25, 20179 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 24, 2017 -> 05:06 PM) Yeah I won the league last year. My focus on the draft is obviously to improve my starting pitching. I've seen worse though. I actually like all of those guys. I don't know who is available, but I would prioritize a decent innings eater since it's hard to count on more than 150 from Strasburg. After that, you can get away with just talking a few high upside guys like Matz, Nola or McCullers. Edit- Assuming those guys aren't too expensive of course. About $4 per player isn't ideal. Might need to aim lower like Cotton or Eickoff. Edited February 25, 20179 yr by ZoomSlowik

I am going to target innings eaters on good teams and then mix in some top prospects too.
March 7, 20179 yr Anyone at all want to take over a team in a keeper league. I need to replace 3 owners
March 17, 20179 yr I'm looking for a couple people to fill my ESPN league as well. Keeper League (2 keepers) and you would assume an existing team and pick from their players. $25 entry fee. Draft Sunday the 26th.
March 19, 20179 yr Damn I'm in a bind, an owner just backed out after the first round of the draft. I really could use someone to replace him quick.

May 25, 20178 yr Check out this highway robbery trade I pulled off, most of which was the original trade offered to me.... I traded away.... SP Michael Fulmer (17.0 PPG) OF Marcell Ozuna (3.3 PPG) SS Chris Owings (3.1 PPG) for... SP Lance McCullers (15.9 PPG) CL Kenley Jansen (6.9 PPG) 3B Manny Machado (2.9 PPG) OF Michael Conforto (4.4 PPG) He offered that trade, but asked for Trea Turner. I said I didn't want to move Turner, so he said he would take Ozuna instead (uh, duh). And then I told I didn't want Adam Duvall, I wanted a SP instead, and said I would take any of McCullers, Porcello, or Vargas. I can't believe he didn't give me Vargas, and instead let me have McCullers. The crazy part is that this guy I traded with was 5-0 in our league so far, and he's always in the playoffs for our baseball, hockey, and football leagues, so it was especially strange that someone like him would offer that trade.

Wow do you play in a league with morons? That's disgusting how one-sided that is. Machado having a down year I would never include in that deal. Edited May 26, 20178 yr by soxfan2014

Machado having a down year I would never include in that deal. Did it last year too when I took Votto while was was in a putrid start to the year, and before Arrieta could throw another game after his no-hitter. But the guy last year was super dumb and we eventually kicked him out. The guy this time is actually really smart and is a huge sports fan. I can't figure out why he was so down on Machado, or why he willingly let me have McCullers. And like I said, his team was 5-0. Why he was wanting to trade was beyond me.
June 2, 20178 yr I'm in first place right now with a record of 57-33-6 (we play 12 categories) After making two trades, this is what my team looks like right now: C Yasmani Grandal 1B Freddie Freeman (keeper) 2B Dee Gordon (keeper) SS Trevor Story (keeper) 3B Kris Bryant (keeper) OF Bryce Harper (keeper) OF Giancarlo Stanton (keeper) OF Michael Conforto UTIL Anthony Rendon (keeper) Bench: C Tom Murphy 1B Adrian Gonzalez 1B Brad Miller 2B Devon Travis 2B Ian Happ SS Chris Owings 3B Tyler Saladino 3B Logan Forsythe OF Kevin Kiermaier OF Starling Marte (keeper) Pitching: SP Stephen Strasburg (keeper) SP Carlos Martinez (keeper) SP Ian Kennedy SP Sonny Gray SP Jeff Samardzija RP Kevin Herrera RP Ken Giles SP Carlos Rodon (keeper) SP Reynoldo Lopez SP Lance Lynn SP Antonio Sanzatela RP Jeurys Familia RP Brandon Mauer Remember, in my league, we are not allowed to add during the season. We just held a mid season draft where we can pick up free agents. 3 rounds. I traded for more picks and got 5 guys, that's why my roster is pretty large.
July 28, 20178 yr I'm currently 104-64-12 and only 4.5 games up in my division (my division has the 3 best teams in the league). After a few more trades, this is how my team is stacking up: C Yasmani Grandal 1B Freddie Freeman (keeper) 2B Dee Gordon (keeper) SS Chris Owings 3B Kris Bryant (keeper) OF Bryce Harper (keeper) OF Giancarlo Stanton (keeper) OF Wil Myers (Keeper) UTIL Anthony Rendon (keeper) Bench: C Wellington Castillo 1B Adrian Gonzalez 1B Brad Miller 2B Devon Travis SSZack Cozart 3B Tyler Saladino 3B Logan Forsythe OF Kevin Kiermaier OF Adam Duvall UTIL Jose Peraza Pitching: SP Stephen Strasburg (keeper) SP Carlos Martinez (keeper) SP Jose Quintana SP Sonny Gray SP Jeff Samardzija RP Kevin Herrera RP Ken Giles SP Dallas Kuechel (keeper) SP Jake Odorizzi SP Aaron Sanchez (keeper) RP Brandon Mauer
