Yeah I won the league last year. My focus on the draft is obviously to improve my starting pitching.

I've seen worse though. I actually like all of those guys. I don't know who is available, but I would prioritize a decent innings eater since it's hard to count on more than 150 from Strasburg. After that, you can get away with just talking a few high upside guys like Matz, Nola or McCullers.

 

Edit- Assuming those guys aren't too expensive of course. About $4 per player isn't ideal. Might need to aim lower like Cotton or Eickoff.

Yeah, if Strasburg can actually stay healthy, he and Martinez are solid at the top. I am going to target innings eaters on good teams and then mix in some top prospects too.

And then I told I didn't want Adam Duvall, I wanted a SP instead, and said I would take any of McCullers, Porcello, or Vargas. I can't believe he didn't give me Vargas, and instead let me have McCullers.

 

The crazy part is that this guy I traded with was 5-0 in our league so far, and he's always in the playoffs for our baseball, hockey, and football leagues, so it was especially strange that someone like him would offer that trade.

Wow do you play in a league with morons? That's disgusting how one-sided that is. Machado having a down year I would never include in that deal.

Seems that way with every league he's in. probably plays with his friends who aren't too bright in sports leagues.

Did it last year too when I took Votto while was was in a putrid start to the year, and before Arrieta could throw another game after his no-hitter. But the guy last year was super dumb and we eventually kicked him out. The guy this time is actually really smart and is a huge sports fan. I can't figure out why he was so down on Machado, or why he willingly let me have McCullers. And like I said, his team was 5-0. Why he was wanting to trade was beyond me.
