GREAT NEWS

I agree it's sad.

He was OK, but couldn't inspire the troops in the KW era.

KW is the real flaw in the organization along with Reinsdork.

JM must go, but it is sad.

I wanna see any GM in major league baseball put together a great team with the constraints that Dickhead Jerry Reinsdorf has on this organization. Did KW make mistakes? Oh, hell yeah...but he has gotten better as time has passed. He continues to do his homework, and go after what he thinks we need. Can anyone say that Jerry Manuel has gotten better as time passed??

.........didn't think so........

Jerry probably got a bit ahead of himself after making da playoffs in 2000 and I think his managerial skills have gone backwards since gettin out-schooled by Lou Piniella. Also, I think that sometimes that players just get sick of listening to the same guy for so many games, so I think once the new manager comes in next year we could suprise a lot of ppl next year no matter what the make up of our team is.

Yes I know and agree.

But honestly, I thought he was one of the best managers I have ever seen. Give the guy a break.

We're all waiting for the punchline dude because you can't be serious

Jerry Manuel may have left something to be desired, but he wasn't all that bad. I know I've seen worse managers in a Sox uni. It is time for a change, but I wish JM future success. He did, as cwsox pointed, represent the Sox and the city with dignity and class.

Great.

Now lets fire the owners! :D
