September 27, 200322 yr cito awfully low key weird career got thumped by the Jays after winning two titles -- then went back to Toronto a few years ago as a bench coach wouldn't be my choice.

I think you are right Rex, JR is on the mlb minority hiring commitee and was a factor ,whether people like it or not why JM was hired in the first place, I believe next Manager will again be a minority
September 27, 200322 yr Gaston has a similar philosophy to Manuel, but I think he's a much better "manager" per se. I wouldn't mind getting him, but a guy like LaRussa would be better from a PR/confidence perspective.

I was one of his biggest fans but bringing back a former manager is such a clueless guy thing, you're 22 and don't have a date for Saturday night so you call your old girl friend from high school. There is no point in going back to the past. Besides LaRussa should have won 3 world series in Oakland and only won one and hasn't exactly won one in St. Louis. Spare us from having "LaLoser" posts for the next four years. Gaston is an interesting suggestion. And I don't think in any way shape or form are we committed to hiring a minority manager. What MLB requires is that the interview process follow the procedures and I am somehow very sure we will. I only hope if KW hires the new manager that it means that KW is solid as GM despite the rumors of his demise. It makes no sense whatsoever for a manager to be hired unless the GM is going to be around. Those two people must be on the same page.

And I love the way Florida said " :fyou " to this bulls*** rule and hired a manager of their choosing without the BS dog-and-pony show of interviewing a minority. The hiring of McKeon turned their season around and now Florida is going to the playoffs. Ballsy move. and congratulations Florida

September 27, 200322 yr HE GONE Clu calling Cwsox gay is WAY above what I did to get kicked out of WSI. (Even if Clu didnt get booted off, Cwsox is showing alot of patience with him) Last week I registered for the site under the screen name DMarte123. Under this I replied to a post someone made that if the Twins plane crashed then we could win the division. In my reply I said I would personally pay a terrorist money to shot down that plane; of course not being serious with it. This f***er VoodChile responds back about how innappropriate it was and how he can make my first post my last post. With all the freedom I have in this site, I atleast expected to be able to reply back and speak my mind. Nope....my lost post was a paragraph long rant explaining how guys like "jerko" can say he hopes the KC and Twins plane collide but I'm the one being b****ed at. I said if he was going to parent me to atleast be fair, even called him a baby. Voodoochiles response to that.........."IMO that was a tasteless, I gave you a second chance. HE GONE." Just like that kicks me off the site. 2 posts.......2 f***ing posts and I was kicked off that site. It honestly pissed me off how this guy can kick someone off if they dont disagree with him, or actually start an arguement. Just take advantage of the chance to call a moderator gay, because at WSI you would be long GAWN. Free speech at its worst, yes, but it should not be excluded in message boards.
